I arrive back to my house and see Jax outside of his house talking to another biker. As soon as I pull in, they both walk towards me.

"Hey Jax" I said.

"Hey Mar. This is Tig. He's gonna be around today while I head out."

"Nice meeting you lovely" Tig said and kissed my hand. Oh boy.

"Nice meeting you too." I said. Not in the same tone.

"Thank you for doing this Jax. I really appreciate it."

"No problem at all babe. Show Tig around." Tig and I walked over to my house. I showed him around.

"So where are you going to be?" I asked.

"Wherever you want me to" he said pretty eager.

"Normally body guards are supposed to be outside no? But you can stay in the living room if you want." I told him. I let him watch tv while I hopped in the shower. I didn't think having Tig around was necessary but Jax seemed like he knew what he was doing so I was just going to go by his way.

It got late at night and Tig said he was leaving. He assured me Jax was home and that if I needed anything to give either one a call. I closed the door and called it a night.

Next Day

I start gathering my things so I can drive to St. Thomas to sign some legal papers, identification, things like that. I had to fill those in before I could start, but my background was cleared. I spoke with Dr. Towell and we arranged my first day, which was going to be in two days.

I drove back home.

As soon as I get home, I see a white Range Rover parked on my driveway. My heart started beating super quick and my adrenaline filled up my blood. I see someone getting out of the car.

As soon as I see him I froze. I couldn't move. I didn't know what to do. I look over at Jax's driveway and didn't see anyone's car or bike except their babysitters. I felt hopeless and scared. I wish Jax was here.

He started approaching me and all I could do was stare. He hadn't changed a bit. He was tall, slim, black hair, darkest brown eyes. He still had a defined face.

"You don't look happy to see me." He started speaking. I wanted to cry and scream. I didn't know what to say. I tried forming words, but nothing came out.

"Say something." He spoke again.

"Wha-what are you doing here? You can't be here."

"I can't be here? Says who?" He said offended.

"Why are you here Christian." I said.

"Can we talk? Not on your driveway." I didn't want him to come inside. I wanted nothing to do with him. My brain was telling me go run away. But I knew deep down, my heart wanted to hear him out. You can't fall in love with someone for seven years, then expect to forget them.

I walked over to my door as he followed. I was opening my door, shaking. He was able to see that. I let him inside where he just gazed around. He didn't look pissed off or mean. He looked like his old self. The old self I was in love with.

He sat on the couch and I sat on the other one, trying to create a distance.

"You don't have to be scared." He said. He was able to notice my shaky hands and my stiff body language.

"I'm not." I lied. He knew it too.

"Why are you here?" I asked again. I wanted him gone.

"To check up on you. I was worried. You just packed up and left."

"I left because of you. And you're worried?"

"I was never going to hurt you." I didn't know what to say or do. I could never forgive what he did to my brother.

"You and I can never be friends. We're nothing. You're dead to me. I want nothing to do with you. You shouldn't of came."

"What happened between your brother and I was our business. Not yours."

"You can't possibly think that I'm okay with what you did."

"I didn't do anything. I didn't come here to talk about that. I miss you. I came because I got worried."

"You didn't just come. I've seen you coming multiple times. My neighbors have seen you too. You're stalking me."

"Not stalking I'm checking. Making sure you're fine. This town has a reputation of biker gangs. You shouldn't be alone Lea." I hate him. Hate that he called me by my name. I hated that I didn't hate him. Hated that I still loved him, regardless of what he did.

"I think you should go." I stood up and demanded. He stood up too, just staring at me. Few moments after, I get a huge bang on my door multiple times. He looks at me and goes and opens the door.

Jax looks at him then looks at me.

"Is this him?" He asks me as if Christian is not here.

"Yeah but he's leaving." I said.

"Who the fuck is this guy" Christian says. Jax took a look at him and punched him across his jaw. Holy shit. Jax's buddies come up behind him.

Christian was on the floor holding his Jaw. I think it was broken. I look at Jax while Jax is looking at him bleeding on the floor. His buddies are looking at Jax. Nobody knew what to do.

He got up from the floor and tried punching Jax back, but Jax's buddies grabbed him before he could do anything.

"Lea I'm gonna kill this son of a bitch!"

"Don't ever come back here. If I ever see you over here, you're dead you hear me. Leave her alone." Jax threatened. Christian smirked with his bloody teeth.

"We'll see." He said. He looked at me and left as Jax's buddies were pushing him out. They all left outside except Jax and I.

"You let him in doc. You shouldn't of done that."

"I know but I panicked when I didn't see your bike in your driveway." We walked to the front door.

"You're not gonna be alone anymore, I promise." He said reassuring me. I looked at him and he looked at me. I gave him a hug. As I was pulling off, he grabbed the back of my head with his huge hands. He started leaning in until he remembered he was married, so he pulled off.

"I should go. The guys are gonna be at my place so we'll be around."

"Thanks for everything." I said. He gave me a smile and left to his house with his friends. The white Range was long gone. I felt a sense of relief but worry because I knew he would be back.
