We were flying through the air towards each other. It was like a duel in the sky. I could see the thoughts in the dragon's eyes.
Stupid mortal. Charging straight to your death. I see Shadow was wrong. You really aren't the noble knight she said you were. If that's how you want to play, then bring it on!
She charged at me in the air. I was still using my gear to soar through the air freely. I had a plan.
The dragon was about to ram me. She was less than 10 feet from my face.
I dived down and used my gear to hook onto a tree. I went right under the dragon.
This bought some time. I immediately dived down to the ground. I ran around searching for a fern.
The dragon was turning around in the air and searching for me.
I found it! A fern. I picked it and pretended to have my back turned.
She charged at me. This would be my only chance.
She was 7 feet away from me. I turned around, and put the fern up to her nose. She flopped onto the ground.
I had won.
I kept rubbing the fern in her face when Shadow came to us. She spoke with the dragon for a few seconds. Then she turned to look at me.
''She has surrendered. Her nest is about a mile east from here. You can pick one of her eggs as the prize. No need to worry. There isn't another dragon around for at least 3 miles. Let's get moving.'' We got on our horses and left.
No more need fr the formation.
''Well that was easy!'' Gary yelled as we took off.
