It was a little after noon and I was sitting on the couch reading my book.
''Orpheous! Go into town for a bit!'' Shadow yelled from the kitchen.
''Why?''
''Because I don't want you near me. And we're running low on cereal.''
''Fine.''
Orpheous walked out the door. He must have stopped because the door was held open for a moment or two.
''Why does it smell like dark magic by the door?''
Shadow paused cooking and walked to the door. She bent down and examined the scene. There was also scorch marks on the ground.
''Jeffrey! Gary! Knight! Misfits! All of you! Ge down here now!'' Shadow yelled up the stairs. She was mad.
They all came down the stairs with confused looks on their faces.
Shadow pointed to the door.''Which one of you was using dark magic?''
''What are you talking about?'' Knight said, very confused.
Shadow slapped him.''There is scorch marks all over the ground right outside the door! The smell of dark magic is all over!''
''I still have no idea what your talking about.'' Knight replied, rubbing his very red cheek.
Shadow slapped him again.''Which one of you did this!''
''I can tell you right now it wasn't me!'' Knight said with a shaky voice, backing away.
Shadow slapped him again, knocking him to the ground.
''What was that for?''
''Oh sorry, I'm just used to it now.''
Knight remained silent. Jeffrey just looked bored.
Shadow looked at him.''You look like you know something.''
Everyone cleared the way for Shadow as she walked up to him. She was of course shorter than him so she had to look up.''What do you know?''
''Look, all I saw was Amber was up in the middle of the night last night and it looked like she was talking to someone outside of the door.''
Shadow slapped him.''Thank you.''
She walked down to me, a bit calmer. She looked up at me.''Who were you talking to?''
''I don't even know. They just told me to meet their master at Shimmer Mist Cave in the realm of Snow and Blizzard.''
Shadow paused. Even though she was taller than me, she pulled me head down and looked me right in the eyes.''You are forgiven.''
She looked at the others.''You know what this means?''
Everyone remained silent. Knight and Jeffrey were still rubbing their red cheeks.
Shadow paused and threw her arms up in the air with a smile on her face.''Road trip!''
