I was right. The tent next to mine was so noisy! I bet the farmers could even hear them. It sounded like there was a party with a bunch of college students and someone just got murdered but they tried to keep going.
I tried to ignore them and lied down on the opposite side of the tent. I even put the pillows over my head and I could still hear them.
After about half an hour, they settled down.
''Finally,'' I whispered to myself.
About 15 minutes later, I head a twig snap. This could only mean trouble.
I very quietly got up and looked outside of the door of the tent. It wasn't that dark. The moon and stars were lighting up the night sky.
I couldn't see anything that could have snapped the twig. I looked towards the place where I heard the sound. I couldn't see anything.
I heard rustling by Shadow's tent.
I could see her faintly in the moon light. It looked like she was getting ready to pounce. Her ears and tail were down, as if she was sneaking.
A few seconds later, she pounced. She ran around in the bushes for a few moments, then all was quiet.
I saw her walk out of the bushes with a dead rabbit in her jaws. She carried it to her tent, and tore it to shreds. Jeffrey, Knight, and Orpheous started making noise again.
I could tell Shadow was annoyed. She picked up the rabbit's remains, and walked over to their tent. She opened the flaps and threw the dead animal into the tent.
I could hear their screams as she walked back to her tent. She seemed satisfied. All of them ran out of the tent and into the field. They must have thought it was some weird creature who just threw it's prey into their tent to mess with them.
Technically, they were right.
Finally! I could get some sleep.
Fluff settled on my face about 10 minutes later. Then Lillian. I dosed off just after something else settled on my face.
