drifting
we're drifting
like a small boat on the vast ocean
we are pushed and pulled and overturned and ruled by the ocean of the sea
like a candle lit and burned to the very last bit
we have lost our glowing spark
like the battery of the phone we use to contact each other
we have used it to find happiness
but at some point the battery died
that is us
those are all us
they say that when you're in love
you become the happiest person alive
that say that the opposite of love is separation
but it isn't
a mother giving up her baby to another person is separation
but it still contains the aesthetic of love
therefore the opposite of love isn't separation
it's apathy
just like
the red string of yarn that kept on rolling but could not find its other end and was finally cut
we had started on the road of apathy
and we have reached its end
