"You hungry?" I ask Jamie. She nods her head. She's moving around now, but still refuses to talk or act human. She doesn't want to hold or play with any of the kids and she threw my phone at me cause it kept ringing. "What you want?" I ask. She shruggs her shoulders then walks out the kitchen. "Aight, so I think I know who the nigga is, but the day Jamie came back, is the day he came back to the United States, so that means he's working with more than just a few niggas" Sean says. "So it ain't Rich and Lidia"I mumble flipping the egg. "No, but they have a part in this, look at their phone records from two years ago on the day Jamie died, they told us that they got a call from the hospital and there isn't any call going or coming from the hospital " he says showing me some papers he just printed. "How the fuck you getting all this nigga" I mumble. "I ain't telling your dumb ass"he mumbles. I suck my teeth and puts Jamie's food on the island "Jamie, your food is ready" I say. She walks into the kitchen and sits at the island. I sit down and watch her. She picks at her food then squints her eyes like she's contemplating whether to eat it or not. She stops then looks at me. I smile and she looks back down at her food. I sigh then start walking away. "Jaden" she whispers. I smile then turn around. "Thankyou" she mumbles. I smile. "You're welcome" I say then sit back down. Atleast she saying something. Shepherd runs into the kitchen and Jamie jumps and pulls her feet up. "Was there a dog where you were?"I ask. She looks at me and ignores my question then starts eating.
Jayla P.O.V.
I walk out of the bathroom and look at my baby peacefully sleeping on my bed cuddling my pillow. I pick up a pillow and hit him on his head. "Ow Jayla what the fuck"he groans while holding his head . "What the fuck, it's a pillow nigga"I say. He straight face me. I look at the pillow. "Oh" I mumble. This is the pillow I put my book in right before I fall asleep. It's to complicated to explain. "But why you wake me up" he mumbles sitting up. "The other night, did you pull out?" I ask. "What?" He mumbles. "Did you pull out? Like did you fucking nut inside of me or not?" I mumble. "I don't remember" he mumbles. "What you mean you don't remember nigga! How can you forget!" I yell. "Jayla you forgot too" he mumbles. I roll my eyes. "Please tell me you did cause if you didn't then I'll have to drop out of college and I won't own my own business by the time I'm 23 and then I'll be a teenage mother and I don't want to be a teenage mother" I say panicking and walking around the room. "Wait, plan b pills." I mumble. He lies back down and puts the pillow over his face. "Let's go nigga, we gotta go to Walgreens to get some" I say putting on my uggs. "I ain't going with you" he mumbles. I roll my eyes and walk out. "Anybody want anything from Walgreens?"I mumble. "I'm coming" Demi mumbles. "Me too" Heaven says . "Lala, I come?" Lani ask. I smile and pick her up. "Yeah" I say.
"Go pick up some snacks for your sisters and brothers" I mumble while pushing the cart. "Lala" Lani whines reaching for the lunchables. "Say please" I say. She stares at me. Sean spoiling her ass way to much. "Yo spoiled ass better say please" I mumble. She mugs me and folds her arms. "That's your ass" I mumble then continue pushing the cart. I turn into the Isle with the plan b pills. One left. I reach for it and a woman and I grab it at the same time. She laughs then pulls it away from me. I grab it back from her. "I need this more that you, my father will kill me if I'm pregnant" I mumble. "Well my boyfriend will kill me if I'm pregnant" she says pulling it back. "You know what, I'll give you 50 dollars for just one whole sheet of them" I mumble digging in my wallet. "Really?" She mumbles. "Yeah" I mumble. "Okay" she says then reaches for the money. "You get the money after we're out the store" i say. She smiles and continues her shopping. Lani pulls my hair. I try to pry her hands off of it but she just pulls it more. "Laylani Promise King, your daddy might not beat you but I surely will"I growl. "Let my damn hair go" I growl. She mugs me and let's me go, I flick her in her mouth and she starts crying. My momma needa whip this little girl.
I sit down in the car and take the pill with the water. I sigh and put the water down. "what's that?" Heaven ask. "You know what it is" I mumble. She laughs. "Yall did the nasty" she laughs. "Shutup" I laugh then lightly push her shoulder. She laughs then buckles up. "Lani shutup!" Demi screams. "Demitrea stop screaming at your sister" I mumble pulling out. "But she keeps crying and it's annoying" she says. "Laylani why are you crying?" I mumble. She continues crying. "That's your ass" I say. "If momma ever see her like this, she finna give her a whoopin" Heaven mumbles. I nod my head.
