É certo dizer que as tatuagens tribais foram os primeiros tipos de tattoos utilizados. Funcionavam entre os primórdios como identidade de grupo, fato visível até os dias de hoje em culturas africanas, aborígenes e indígenas. Por conta disso, não há uma fonte única, tendo surgido em vários lugares ao longo dos tempos.

Assim como a mudança de significados, a tatuagem tribal adquiriu também "liberdade" para si. É comum pessoas se utilizarem de determinado modelo de tattoo tribal sem saber que tribos a utilizavam ou o que significava, criando assim uma simbologia particular para o desenho.

Apesar da evolução técnica, a tatuagem tribal segue na maior parte das vezes sendo toda preta. Em geral são desenhos com curvas e de tamanhos grandes que exigem grande técnica por parte do tatuador.

  It's right to say that tribal tattoos were the first types of tattoos used. They worked between the beginnings as a group identity, visible fact until nowadays in African, Aboriginal and indigenous cultures. On account of this, there is not a single source, having emerged in several places throughout the ages.  

  As well as the change of meanings, the tribal tattoo also acquired "liberty" for you. It is common for people to use a certain tribal tattoo model without knowing that tribes used it or what it meant, thereby creating a particular symbol for drawing.  

  Despite the technical evolution, the tribal tattoo continues most of the time being All black. In general they are drawings with curves and large sizes that require great technique by the tattoo artist.
