Hamsá / Hamsa

O desenho varia de uma cultura oriental para outra, bem como seu significado. Em geral, as pessoas utilizam o Hamsá como um símbolo de proteção que representa a benção, poder e força. Sua maior utilização se dá como um amuleto que torna aquele que o possui imune ao mau-olhado.

Além disso, a "Mão de Fátima" também pode representar feminilidade e acredita-se que ela ajuda a aumentar a fertilidade das mulheres.

Como dito anteriormente, a representação da mão pode mudar muito e apresentar formatos estilizados com tamanhos e formatos diferentes. A mão de Hamsá com a palma virada para fora e com os dedos para o alto, voltados ao céu, representa barrar e afastar, relacionando-se ao masculino. Já quando virada para dentro e com os dedos para baixo, em direção à terra, faz menção à energia criadora, ligando-se a Deus.

Os dedos da mão podem ser representados juntos para trazer boa sorte ou separados (mão aberta) para afastar as coisas ruins.
