20 Minutes And Rory

Alex's POV

The Doctor and I were heading down the street. The walk was silent, not the terribly awkward silent, the good kind. He looked into the window of the house I recognized as Mrs. Angelo's house. Then he ran up to the door.

"Doctor!," I hissed, "what are you doing?" He ignored me and busted into the house. Rolling my eyes I ran in after him.

"Hello! Sorry to burst in. We're doing a special on television faults in this area. Also crimes. Let's have a look!" He exclaimed cheerfully as he rubbed his hands together. I rolled my eyes.

"I was just about to phone. It's on every channel. Oh, hello, Alex dear. Are you a policewoman now?" She asked. Blushing I looked down at my outfit.

"Well, sometimes," I said embarrassed.

"I thought you were a nurse?" She said as she looked me up and down.

"I can be a nurse," I say back. My cheeks flushing with embarrassment. I wasn't very good at hiding my outfits.

"Or actually a nun?" She said.

"I dabble," I said acting like it was no big deal.

"Alex, who is your friend?" She asked me motioning to the Doctor.

"Who's Alex? You were Alexandria." He asked me confused.

"Yeah? Now I'm Alex." I say firmly. I grew up...ok I didn't want to be called Alexandria my entire life.

"Alexandria Pond. That was a great name," said the Doctor sighing.

"Bit fairy tale," I said...he did call my name fairy tale.

"I know you, don't I? I've seen you somewhere before," accused Mrs. Angelo.

"Not me. Brand new face First time on. And what sort of job's a kissogram?" He asked me...disgusted.

"I go to parties and I kiss people. With outfits. It's a laugh," I say with a fake smile on my face.

"You were a little girl five minutes ago!" He exclaimed throwing his hands up in. The air.

"You're worse than my aunt," I sigh shaking my head.

"Hello, I'm the Doctor and I'm worse than everybody's aunt. And that is not how I'm introducing myself," he says after terribly introducing himself to

The voice is on the television screen again but this time in another language.

"Okay, so it's everywhere, in every language. They're broadcasting to the whole world," says the doctor as he looks out the window.

"What's up there? What are you looking for?" I ask curiously.

"Okay. Planet this size, two poles, your basic molten core? They're going to need a forty percent fission blast-" he says as Jeff walks into the room.

"But they'll have to power up first, won't they? So assuming a medium sized starship, that's 20 minutes. What do you think, twenty minutes? Yeah, twenty minutes. We've got twenty minutes," he says speaking to whom? I don't know.
