3. Run Away

Nina had decided she would stay home from school until graduation. Not that she could really attend with her broken ankle and all. She had broken her ankle on Friday. It was now Thursday. The day before graduation.  Her ankle had fully healed by now, even though she healed slower than the average wolf, she was still glad she healed drastically faster than a human.

 All Nina could do was think about tomorrow. You could say she was scared, but she was simply excited to finally rid herself of the horrid people called high school. Maybe it was the people in her high school. Who knows. All Nina could really think about though was finally getting out of that wretched place. 

"Nina!!" A voice called from downstairs, making Nina cringe. She hated when they said her name like that. The distaste and malice dripping like venom from a snakes mouth. 

Running downstairs, Nina saw that Kate had the fridge door open and she was fuming.

"You forgot to make the food bitch!" Kate said glaring at Nina and slamming the fridge door closed.

"n-no I swear I made some th-this morning" 

"Are you blind or just plain stupid!"

Opening the fridge, Nina looked for the container she had stored in the fridge earlier. She had made spaghetti and meatballs, but as she looked she realized that someone must have eaten them. 

"Someone probably ate them" Nina mumbled. 

Slamming Nina in to the fridge, Kate growled at her. Looking with wide eyes at her sister, Nina braced herself as Kate kicked her in the stomach. Thankfully it wasn't a rib crushing kick, but Nina knew it would leave a bruise come morning. 

"Don't just lie there dumb ass!" Kate yelled "Make Some Goddamn Food!" 

Scrambling to get up, Nina grabbed all the ingredients she could find to make something edible for Kate and the rest of the household. Unlike other pack families, The gray family did not have a maid. It wasn't that they couldn't afford one, it was simply because they found it unnecessary since they had Nina. Nina was forced to do all the cooking and cleaning while she still had to focus on her school work. Thankfully Nina was on top of things and she no longer needed to do schoolwork since she would be graduating tomorrow. 

After Nina had finished cooking and cleaning the kitchen up, she went upstairs to take a shower. As she stripped and stepped in the shower, she saw that she was right about earlier. Kate's kick had left a mark on Nina's stomach. Unlike everyone else in the pack, Nina was not made up of muscle. Thankfully she had a fast metabolism to make up for the lack of exercise she was receiving. 

After heading out of the shower, Nina realized it was already 9:00. She wanted to sleep early so that she could wake up early. Unfortunately as she finished brushing her teeth and putting her PJ's on, she heard her dad calling for her. 

Running down the stairs in an over sized black T-shirt and some sweatpants, Nina ran into the kitchen to see why she was being called at this hour. Normally after 8:00 everyone would leave her alone. 

"Y-yes" Nina said in a weak voice as she looked at her father. 

"I just wanted to let you know" He started, and maybe, just maybe Nina thought for a moment he would tell her he loved her. Tell her all the things he told his other children. Maybe he would tell her he was proud of her. Maybe...just maybe..... "that if you fuck anything up for your sisters graduation tomorrow, I will personally beat you. Do you understand." 

"Y-yes sir" Nina mumbled. 

stupid stupid stupid. Of course he wouldn't tell you he loved you  Nina thought to herself.
