"Oh gosh, I'm hungry. Come on, Baek, let's eat."

You rested your hand on my shoulder, making me feel even tinier with your superior height, and we went downstair to the school canteen.

"What do they have for today's lunch?" you murmured as your eyes wandering around the crowd.

I secretly reached my empty pocket with one hand and almost could feel the upcoming growl from my stomach. "You go buy something," I whispered. "I don't have money."

I tried to push your hand lightly from my shoulder but you refused to let me go. "Hey, today's treat on me. But make sure you pay me back later," you said jokingly and dragged me with a wide grin on your face before I could resist.

You paid for our lunch that day, and the next day, and the day after tomorrow too, and so on. And maybe that's the reason we grew apart. Because you spent too much for me, but I gave you nothing in return.
