3. Partial Hook Ups

Shawn and I are in our last class and I'm scolding him so hard right now. "You are to not, and I mean it, do not associate yourself with Taylor Caniff."

"But Jack, he's just being friendly and joining the club along with his friends." He tells me with an uplifting look and I can't help but always give in.

"Fine. But if he touches you and you're uncomfortable, you have to tell me. Got it?" He nods and gets back to doing our assignment.

Moments later something jabs at my left shoulder. I look around and see nobody in my direction but there's a paper on the floor folded into a plane.

It read, want to hang out after school?

I look around to see who could this possibly be then someone looks up and turns their head at me.

It's Aaron, the really cool and collected kid. He's good at being friends with anybody.

So when I see that he wants to hang out with me, I don't take it as such a big deal.

Besides, I love hanging out with people. I do go around a lot you could say but I hate the guys like Taylor or Gilinsky, they're flirty and cocky.

Carter I see is a good guy, probably out of their group I would date Cameron personally. He's like lustful, yet you just want to pet him.

I date those type of guys. I'm not a Matt, who seeks sexual attention nor a Shawn that doesn't know what attention is at all. I'm Goldilocks and I take care of what I like.

I crumple the paper and toss it back to him. I point at it for him to open. He reads it and gives me a thumbs up.

"Jack. Another date? You complain at me for talking to Taylor but you're on your third date just this weekend." Shawn groans at me.

"No. It's not a date. It's hanging out. And I didn't complain at you for talking to him, I'm complaining that you let him talk to you." He has a confused face but if I swap my words around, it's the only way he will shut up.

Shawn writes rapidly on his paper avoiding my gaze. "Don't see why you don't yell at Nash, or what about Matt for flaunting his butt." Shawn starts, "Nash was hugging Cameron Dallas." I hear a huff come from him.

"Well. One, they were just hugging. And two, Carter clearly doesn't feel the same way with Matt. When I see you and Taylor, you literally get so lost in the moment and so does he." I see Shawn nodding. Is it clear yet! "And I, do not, like it."

I treat them like I'm the dad even though I'm probably the smallest one in the group. But looks can be deceiving.

And from the looks of it, I expect Shawn not to get physical with Taylor. He seems afraid right now so we're good.

"Aren't you going to tell Nash not to hug Cameron Dallas. Or like, Matt to leave Carter Reynolds alone?" He still brings up the same topic.

"Shawn. I said. It's only one sided. You and Taylor look like you both enjoy it. Therefore, I will put an end. Do you want to break our celibacy chain?" My fists ball up.

"No, no. Sorry. No more questions." He shakes his head frantically and I smirk, because, everyone always listens to me.

3:44 pm

So, I currently have Matt with me, he said he wanted to come to the mall too but he's just off on his own at the mall while I'll be here with Aaron.

Aaron and I came separately because I had to get Matt! But gee, what are friends for.

"Shoo, so I can hang out with Aaron." I push him into a bush when I see Aaron walking by.

"Should I tell head leader of celibacy club on what you're doing?" He gives me a devious look but I don't play games.

"Shawn already knows. So, stop. Bye." I walk away gladly and lock arms with Aaron.

He tightens his grip and we walk to the food court. "Okay. Maybe not a decent meal but it's at least an after school snack." He lines up at a Chinese fast food joint to order three items.

When we do get our food we sit in a secluded area. We split the tray in half and he offers me chopsticks or forks. I chose the fork.

"So. Why did you want to hang out with me?" I ask him curiously. Usually people like to, but they talk to me. I haven't really talked to Aaron before.

"Oh. Uh, you're known for being the most fling around guy while in celibacy. I wonder how you manage." I mean, is that an insult?

"Am I suppose to be flattered or?" I stop my tracks and stare at him. He wipes the left over orange chicken from his lips.

"I mean yeah. You date and make out and grind, but you're still a virgin? I mean, I praise you one hundred percent. I don't know how you do it." Aaron laughs.

"Why do you make this seem like it's funny? I feel like you're calling me a whore. Trash. I date and make out and grind. But I'm still a virgin. I sound like I play hard to get and lead people on. I don't." I fight back.

I'm on the verge of tears as I feel like a pathetic kid who hooks up half way then stops taking to them.

I grab my cup of and take the plastic cap off. This clearly leads to the soda to be pouring all over his head as he flinches.

"Here. Take that from me. But I'll still be celibate."

And Aaron has a special role in this book because he has nobody to be shipped with, therefore yeah, he's a good character. x
