KYLIE POV

The next day, I woke up with a familiar soreness between my legs. I rolled over to see Chris sleeping peacefully, and I stared at his face and thought about everything going on in my life. I had got him back, Lucas was gone forever, and I had lost Sabrina as a friend. I didn't know how I felt about Lucas being gone. What I really needed to find out was how Sabrina felt about him being gone... I wondered how strong her feelings were for him.

Chris woke up a few minutes later and we both got dressed, getting ready to go to the hospital. We climbed in his car and he cranked it up, heading to see Sabrina.

SABRINA POV

I woke up pretty early the next morning. It was hard to sleep in a hospital bed, especially when nurses kept running in and checking on me all hours of the night. I was just laying there, bored out of my mind, when the door suddenly opened. Chris and Kylie walked in, and my heart thumped painfully when I saw them holding hands.

"Hey Sabrina." Chris said with a slight smile.

"Hi." I replied, looking at both of them. When neither of them said anything else, I spoke up again.

"Where's Lucas?" I asked curiously.

"Can you tell us how you got in the accident first?" Kylie asked. I sighed.

"When we left the store, I told him to drop me off at my house, but he just drove past it and said I was going to spend the night with him. I didn't want to, but he wasn't going to give me a choice, so I grabbed the wheel and tried to stop the car. Then we just swerved off the road and... I woke up here." I said tiredly. Chris and Kylie looked at each other again.

"So you hate him?" Chris asked. I just nodded and then Kylie sighed.

"Sabrina... Lucas is dead." Kylie said, studying me for my reaction. My expression remained indifferent.

"What happened?" I finally asked.

"The doctors said when the car flipped over the hill, he broke his neck from the position he was in." Chris explained. I nodded slowly.

"He died a couple minutes after they got him here." Kylie added on. I looked between Kylie and Chris, and I realized they had forgiven me for what I had done. I sighed in defeat. I didn't want to lose Kylie as a friend, and now I think I understood that I couldn't get Chris back.

"Kylie, I-I'm sorry, about trying to make you jealous and... And messing up a lot of stuff. I wish I could've let you explain." I said, looking down at my hands in my lap.

"It's okay, I'm sorry too." She said. I looked up to see her smiling at me, and I smiled back.

"Friends again?" I asked hopefully. She smiled and nodded.

"Friends again." She confirmed.

"Hey, what about me?" Chris pouted.

"You're my friend too Chris." I said with a slight smirk. He smiled.

"As soon as you're out of here we can switch your shifts back to how they used to be at work." Kylie said. I nodded. I think my life was going to get better now. I had forgiven and I had apologized, and now I had no more enemies. Lucas was gone, and I still wasn't completely sure how I felt about that, but I knew everything would be alright soon. It had to be. Kylie and Chris looked over at each other and their eyes were full of love. Chris was meant for her. I would find someone else.

All I knew was, life was going to be perfect from now on. More perfect than it had ever been.
