Ayato watched the road with excitement and peace. This was a good decision in his opinion and he was so focused on his plan that he failed to notice his boyfriend Hikaru watching him very closely. His light of the world couldn't save him anymore. To him he deserve someone better who wasn't such a mistake. He grinned as he spotted a semi truck coming down the road at a rather fast speed.

Hikaru watched him silently keeping far enough that his presence wasn't known. He looked at the road and spotted the semi. He didn't think anything of it assuming Ayato was just wanting to cross the road when his lover jumped in front of it. His eyes widened and his heart stopped. He didn't have time to think much about a plan as he ran to him. "AYATO!!!" he saw the shock in his eyes as he pushed him out of the way just in time, but it was too late for him.

He let out a cry of pain as the semi slammed into him and sent him falling. His life somewhat flashed before his eyes in the air before he fell hard against the ground and tumbled a little. At the moment he hit the ground his vision went black. Ayato almost fell to the ground and he spun around. "HIKARU!!!" he ran over to him and tears were already streaming down his face. "No... no... why?!" his thin frame trembled and he shook his limp body. "No!" people rushed over to help but he saw them as a blur.

Hikaru's head was bleeding heavily and his body looked... broken. He was barely breathing. "Wake up! Hikaru wake up!" he sobbed. He heard someone calling 911. "A boy tried to commit suicide and other one saved him. He was hit by a semi traitor trailer. he's bleeding pretty bad please help!" An ambulance was came not even five minutes later. Ayato just looked at his lover pleadingly. "Open your smiles... tell you're going to be okay!" he whimpered.

His head was stabilized with a neck brace and rushed into the ambulance. Ayato tried to follow but they wouldn't let him in. The sirens rang in his ears as it rushed away to the hospital. Tears continued to stream down his face. "Why?" he hugged himself and squeezed his eyes shut. What have I done?  he thought whimpering and started running to the hospital on foot. Everything was a blur around him. All that mattered was Hikaru in this moment.

He got their wheezing and dizzy from the lack of air but he stumbled inside and quivered. Nurses rushed to him thinking he was hurt. "N... no... n... not me... w... where is Hikaru?" he whimpered weakly. "I... it's all... m... my fault!" he fell to his knees and sobbed. They couldn't give him any information as he wasn't a family member. "Can you tell us his parent's phone number?"

No... I have to explain this to Ikuto and Kadae! Is she even working today? They will be so crushed! Ikuto will blame me hard I just know it! Why couldn't Hikaru just let me die!!  he quivered after giving them their phone numbers. He slid to the ground and rocked back and forth.

Everything was a blur around him. He heard Ikuto's panicked voice, but didn't say anything. He should have died. "Ayato how did this happen?!" He looked up into Ikuto's blue gray eyes. "..." he couldn't speak to him. He couldn't face him at all. Tears were still streaming down his face.

"Ayato... please. Tell me what happened." Ikuto whispered trembling in worry and sadness. Kadae ran into the hospital and grabbed into her husband trying into his chest. He held her close and closed his eyes whispering sweet nothings into her ear. What have I done? I've destroyed them... I've broken Hikaru...

"Hikaru has major swelling in his brain, a broken arm, leg, and hip, and has lost a lot of blood." A doctor told them. "I... I'm sorry. But I don't know if he'll survive. It doesn't look good at all..." Kadae sobbed and hugged her husband for support but Ikuto looked ready to break down.

Ayato quivered and hugged himself. I've killed him haven't I? Damn it I'm so worthless! He turned his back to them and cried silently. "If he does survive... he will have brain damage. And the bones mending... probably never walk right. He will most likely not have much of a memory. I can't sugar coat this I'm sorry."

Ayato whimpered and watched his lover's parents go into the room. He winced when Kadae let out a cry of horror and pain. "No... my poor little prince..." He looked into the room and saw her sobbing with her head on the bed.

His stomach turned at the sight of Hikaru. His head was wrapped up with a generous amount of bandages and his arm and leg were in a cast. His face looked blank in his dreamless coma. He looked nothing like Tomoya had looked. He wasn't peaceful at all.

Does he fell pain even when he's unconscious? He whimpered. He knew he wasn't welcome in the room. He had to tell Ikuto and Kadae what happened and the look on their faces... he knew that they knew he was to blame.

He looked away and quivered. He wanted Hikaru right now... to hug him, kiss him, love him... to support him, tell him everything would be ok. But he couldn't right now. His heart was broken... and it wasn't because of Hikaru breaking him. Ayato himself had broken himself. This was his fault.

The light of his world wasn't with him... and it was his fault. Everything was his fault. He started to hyperventilate and clenched his hand over his heart. His world was in a darker state... darker than ever before. Darker than pitch black. And it was all his fault
