Tonight Rusty and I decided to hang out at the Pizza place in town, it was a school night but this is where everyone my age go to dance and listen to music way too loud.Luckily, we have never been caught before but there is always a first for everything so we try our best to be as careful as we can.
I'm really only going here tonight to see my boyfriend Jace, who is a few years older than us. He told me he would meet me here and it's really the only place I get to see him, as my parents definitely wouldn't approve of him, apparently he's 'bad news'.
I was currently sitting with Jace on the back of his truck with a few friends as we watched people sing and dance to the music - This is how we have a good time and we didn't realise it until we were banned from doing it.
As soon as we arrived here, I ran over to Jace. I thought Rusty was behind me but I haven't seen her in the last few hours, wherever she is.
I watched as Jace stared at the other girls dancing, I tried to make it out as if I didn't care but I couldn't help but be jealous, he was always like this and I only ever seemed to be good enough when nobody else was around.
If it was the other way around, and I was staring at other boy's when he was sitting right beside me, he would probably take me home or start an argument with me - but I decide against that because I don't want to start a scene.
I decide to wait and see if anyone wants to dance with me and if they do, I will happily dance with them, see how he likes it.
I spot Rusty dancing with Woody, and I can't help but laugh. She would be dancing with Michael if only he would dance with her, he will never dance it doesn't matter how much she begs him. Apparently he can't dance, but yet he loves watching everyone else.
"That's what I'm talking about, what a beautiful ass." Jace shouted, laughing with his friends as he watched a few girls shaking their ass right in front of him.
"Does that turn you on? Girls acting like sluts?" I asked, putting a smirk on my face so he doesn't think I'm jealous - I could dance better than them anyway.
"Oh cmon." He groaned as I jumped out of his jeep, walking over to lean on a car to watch people dance myself, maybe it would be easier to catch someone's attention so I could dance with them.
Soon a guy came up and grabbed me by the waist, bringing me out to where everyone else was dancing, I began to dance just like how the other girl's where, making sure to watch Jace's reaction.
I was happy to know that he was watching me now, but I could also feel another pair of eyes on me.
I looked to my right to see Luke Hemmings dancing with one of Rusty's friends who I had spoken to a few times, he was staring at me while he danced, so I stared at him too.
He soon came over to me and took me from the other guy, beginning to dance with me instead. He was a better dancer than the other boy that was for sure.
He was able to keep up with me and everything that I did, which I was impressed with - after all, it was going to be a better show for Jace who was still staring at me, smirking at some of the dances I was doing but also scowling at some.
Luke must have seen me watching Jace or something because he soon pulled away from me, walking off to his friends.
"What's the matter? Couldn't keep up?" I shouted after him, causing him to spin back around to face me.
"You can put on a show for that guy, but that doesn't mean I'm going to." He angrily muttered.
Before I could say anything else to him, I heard the microphone being turned on from one of the workers at the Pizza place. I began to walk towards Jace but was interrupted by a voice speaking.
"Attention Attention." A man announced, "Ariel, Can you please come to the front of the diner, your dad is here for you."
Everyone was staring at me and I felt my cheeks heat up. It was embarrassing when your father was one of the reasons why these laws where here, as he voted on having them.
I heard a few people shouting 'busted' and talking about 'how much trouble i was going to be in when i got home'.
I turned back around to face Jace who was looking at me with a smile on his face, as if to say he got the last laugh or something.
I decided to ignore him and walked towards the front of the diner, passing Luke Hemmings on the way, "The show's over." I whispered as he looked at me sympathetically, which was something I definitely didn't need.
I walked up to where my father was waiting, with his arms crossed. He didn't even look really angry, just disappointed - as usual. Everything I did seemed to disappoint him, nothing I did was good enough.
"Your Mother was afraid you didn't have any money, she said you would be here." He explained slowly, as if he was talking to a child.
"Dad it's not a big deal, we were just messing around." I said, although he didn't really seem to care what I had to say, I don't think he would understand if I tried explaining for the rest of my life, he just doesn't think like us teenagers do.
"I think it would be best if you came home with me." My Father basically demanded as he looked around at the other teens who were all staring at us, "Right now."
Although my dad couldn't make them leave like he could with me, he would probably tell all of their parents at mass on the weekend which would get everyone grounded, why did my father have to b a preacher?
Don't get me wrong, I don't particularly mind my Father being a preacher but it causes him to be even more protective and serious about the laws that have been made, which means I always get caught whereas everyone else doesn't - unless he tells on them of course which he normally does.
After a complete silent drive home, I jumped out of the car before my Father could say anything to me. He quickly got out of the car after me, following me into the house.
My Mother was sitting on the sofa when I opened the door, she was watching TV while she flicked through a magazine of her's.
She smiled when she seen I was home but it soon disappeared when she seen both My Father and I's face, "Hey Honey, your home early." She tried to smile again, but failed.
"Yeah." I simply replied, not making eye contact with either of my parents. I walked towards the stairs before I was going to be asked any more questions.
"Did you have fun?" She quizzed, one thing about my Mum was that she never stopped asking questions, sometimes it was funny but other times it was just really annoying and completely unnecessary.
"Just breaking the law Mama." I answered as my Father stepped towards me, but I didn't dare make eye contact with him - I was still angry for him embarrassing me like that in front of everyone that attended my school.
"Ariel," He ordered, "I haven't finished talking to you."
I spun around, so I wasn't facing them any longer, and made my way up the stairs towards my room. I wasn't in the mood for talking right now, and I knew we would only yell at each other so it was best to keep the talk until tomorrow when we had both calmed down.
I got my homework out of my school bag and began working on it, trying everything to get the events that had happened tonight out of my head.
---------------
This was shorter than the rest of the chapters plus it was kind of a filler so sorry it was really bad and not very eventful but there has to be some chapters like this if I want to keep it like the film!!
Are you all enjoying it so far? I hope you are!
