Chapter 10

Malak could no longer stay silent as she screamed for death to relief her. She screamed for the pain to stop as her tormentor put dug his fingers inside the cut on her stomach. All she could feel was pain that would not stop or dull. He tried to prey her whereabouts out of her mind but she just screamed and concerted on the white room that its walls were now smeared with her blood.

"Tell me." He screamed while pushing through her abdomen muscle tissue and broke another rib bone. She couldn't do anything else but scream.

Nicolai jumped out their bed at the same moment he heard a scream. He felt the pack within the house wake up with the same startle. Nicolai ran out of his room to find Erik already opening Malak's bedroom door. They both entered with claws out ready to kill whatever caused her to scream. They were confused when they found the room empty except Malak sleeping on her bed. There wasn't any other noise except for the TV playing infomercials in the background. Nicolai knew he couldn't imagine the pain filled scream because Erik had clearly heard it too.

Erik walked quietly to Malak using his wolf eyes to see better in the dark. She appeared asleep hugging one of the pillows while laying on her side with her back to him. Erik and Jacob turned to leave the room to speak outside when Malak scream a blood ranching scream. They rushed back to her and turned her sleeping form on her black to see what was wrong; they found her still asleep with her face twisted in pain.

"Nightmare?" Nicolai questioned before Malak screamed even louder, then her still form turned frantic as if she was fighting someone.

"Malak wake you!" Erik shook her shoulders but she just screamed in pain that made everyone cringe; by that time, all the men in the house were at Malak's bedroom door. "Malak it's not real, wake up!"Erik desperately tried again but she kept on screaming.

"What's going on?" Sammy asked what the others were thinking as they watched helplessly.

Joshua get to the house now! Nicolai ordered him out of his sleep.

"Malak, it's not real, wake up, no one is here to hurt you, wake up!" Erik held her still when she started scratching her arms as if trying to push something off.

"Stop! Please stop! I can't tell you. I can't take it anymore." Malak cried out but her eyes stayed closed. Erik moved away realizing there was nothing he could do.

"Why the hell she isn't waking up. Someone get me wet cloth!" Nicolai pushed passed Erik and shook her unconscious form. Seconds later, Gabriel handed him a wet cloth that he placed on her neck but she still didn't wake up and continued to scream. It was scream after gut ranching scream only stopping for moments to gasp for air.

"Nicolai!" Erik called him out of his frantic state. Nicolai then felt how his men were on the verge of shifting. Malak's screams was triggering some instinct within their wolves that made them fight for control to find a way to stop her pain.

"Go for a run, take a walk, something. You can't shift around her; the shock will be too much." Nicolai ordered and the guys who had difficulties controlling their wolves reluctantly left the room. Jacob, Erik, Dex and the twins were the only ones left inside and outside the door when Dr. Joshua came in.

"What's wrong?" Dr. Joshua asked before Malak screamed again. Malak continued to scream and mumble incoherently.

"Wake her up!" Nicolai yelled at him. Dr. Joshua checked her vitals to find her heartbeat was elevated, her body in cold sweat. He wasn't able to do anything because he couldn't find a physical trigger.
