A Wolf's World

Chapter 2

      It's almost time to leave school but the clock seems to have frozen at five minutes to three. If only it would hurry up so I could leave this horrible place.
     School has always been like my own personal prison. I don't know why but I just don't like it there too many people watching me, waiting for me to mess up and laugh at me. The bell rings, finally I can leave this place.
I walk out to the buses with Alex.
   "Something doesn't feel right maybe I'm just imagining things," I say to her.
     "You're fine," she says " you always get that feeling Silver, it's all in your head."
       Maybe she's right, I thought to myself, it's all in my head everything is going to be fine.
     I walked up the stairs of the bus and got on my phone. No texts yet Cole sometimes texts me when he gets on his bus. We don't ride the same bus but Alex and I do. Alex is on her phone texting Matthew.
I open a new message and type "Matthew?", she replies, "Yea, has Cole texted you yet?"
     "No" I send before putting in my headphones.
      I love music the lyrics always seem to describe my life. Anyways, I look at my phone and see Cole has texted me. I smile at my phone it's so embarrassing really I always do it smile at the phone. Only Cole can make me smile at my phone.
     Alex texts me "Cole?"
   "Yea" I replay before opening his message.
  "I hear you're going to be at Alex's house this weekend?"
"Yea" I reply.
      He says something else but I don't read it yet because this is my stop. Alex gets off the bus with me her house isn't far from the orphanage. We walk in and I say hi to the lady at the front desk. She smiles and waves at me knowing that I'm staying with Alex this weekend. I ran into my room and grabbed my bag. I had already packed it I said bye to the lady behind the desk, I never pay attention to their names, and walk out the door with Alex. We start walking toward her house. I check my phone again and read what Cole sent me.
     "Cool maybe we can Skype each other while your there"
      I reply "Alright" and put my phone back in my pocket.
      Alex looks at me and smiles knowing I was just texting Cole. "You can Skype him when we get there Sil." I nod and start walking faster. She just laughs knowing that I want to see and talk to him. Maybe I will find out if he likes me or not tonight. I smile at the thought I hope he does like me back. Alex grabs her key from her backpack and unlocks the door. We both run upstairs to her room. I unlock her laptop, she gave me the password awhile ago, and open Skype. I text Cole "ok I'm at Alex's house" he replies "k Skype me" I hit the call button and wait for him to pick up. Alex comes in wearing a new shirt and says, "Wow couldn't let me get a shirt on first." "Oh shut up," I say as he picks up. "Hey," he says as he gets comfortable on his bed. Alex looks up from her phone and says, "What would you say if I told you Silver liked you." I tense up wishing she hadn't said that.
