Chapter 24

I don't wait for him to answer and I walk into the kitchen to grab some ice cream for Angel. I hear footsteps behind me and turn around to see Nathan standing next to me. "Can I talk to Angel?" I think to myself she probably doesn't want to talk to anybody, but how do I tell him that? "It's ok if she doesn't feel like talking to me right now I just wanted to make sure she's ok." Does he care about Angel? "I'm not sure she wants to talk to anybody right now, but maybe later." He nods and walks back into the living room. Matthew has phased and Juliet is playing with his muzzle. I smile at them and walk upstairs. I hand Angel the tub of chocolate ice cream a spoon. She's stopped crying but her face is still red from it. "Thanks Sil," she says. I know it's for more than just the ice cream. "I don't know what I would do without you, your my best friend and.." SILVER WHO THE HELL IS IN MY HOUSE!!  I look at Angel,"Sounds like Alex found Nathan." I run downstairs and find Matthew explaining how Nathan appeared and telling her about the pack.  Cole walks in behind her. "Who the hell is he?" he says pointing to Nathan. Nathan looks at him,"Who the hell are you?" I still can't look Cole in the eye after what he did. Alex tells him about the pack and that he appeared while she was running. He looks at Juliet whose sitting in Matthews lap. He looks up at me with a hint of sadness in his eyes,"You had a pup while I was gone?" Matthew looks up at him,"Yea she had my pup while you were gone." Nathan looks around,"Am I missing something?" I look at him and say, "I was with Cole before Matthew and I stayed here because of Matthews pup while Cole finished school." He seems to still like me I thought. If he liked me he shouldn't have slept with my best friend, he had me then he screwed up and now I'm with Matthew. I'm much happier with Matthew than I ever was with Cole. Matthew is sweet, despite all his complaints about me saying that, and he actually understands me. I sit down next to Matthew and Juliet stumbles into my lap. Nathan looks upstairs longingly. He must be worried about Angel. I set Juliet back on Matthews lap and headed upstairs to check on Angel. I opened the door and Angel had stopped crying, so she must be feeling better, and she asked about Nathan. As soon as she said his name he popped his head through the door. "Are you ok what happened?" He asked her. I left the room to let them discuss that. When I got downstairs I saw Juliet licking Matthews face. He wasn't complaining about her and just let her lick him while he spoke to Cole and Alex about the pack. I sat down on the stairs so they wouldn't notice me, as I listened to the conversation. "Why do you get to be the Alpha?, I can beat you any day," Cole said. Matthew phased and Alex said,"Guys if your going to fight do it outside and don't fight around the pup." She grabbed Juliet and set her in her lap. Cole phased and they ran outside. I walked downstairs and started out the door when Alex stopped me. Were you eaves dropping again? I nodded. She smirked,"They will be fine, let them fight we want the strongest to be the Alpha." She put her hand on my arm. It was unusually cold for her was she sick? She pulled her hand back instantly and said,"Wow Sil your even hotter than usual." I looked at her confused and said,"No your freezing are you sick?" She stared at me, her eyes were blacker than usual I can normally see the iris and the pupil now I can't tell them apart. She shrugged and started walking upstairs. That's when I noticed the bite marks on her neck.
