Short summary: Sun kissed and Stranded is about a girl named Lauren Sonnet and her friends beings stranded in an island where they must find ways to survive long enough for help to arrive.
You might think this book is purely about survival when you first read the author’s summary but it’s actually more of a romance story more than it is about survival. Although the story so far hasn’t reached the ‘stranded’ part yet, the build up of emotion before reaching the climax really puts you on the edge of your seat!
If you’re trying to avoid the usual cliché of a wonderland paradise then this is the story for you. Right off the bat, the author puts you in a place where it’s considered a Mecca for romantic couples and then turning it into something dreadful through the eyes of the main character.
Overall Grade:
The story overall will stir up a lot of emotions in you part of it is because the main character is very relatable and part of it is the story written well, the details are highly précised and it really pulls you in to the story’s environment. The story kept my interest up the whole and it never bored me.
I give it 9 out of 10. Highly recommended.
