"Her identity is covered between the sheets of embarrassment. She hides in shame because the woman within is ashamed to be presented under the light of a thousand eyes." -Yamesia

A week later...

Brielle stared down into the plate of creamy mashed potatoes, chopped eggplant, baked asparagus, and a medium-rare steak.

She was terribly hungry at the moment, but her appetite was lost after last night. She had to fill in again for a girl who refused to work and had to be punished.

Travis wanted to give his daughter the satisfaction at making one of his rude hookers pay for the decision she made, but Brielle chose against it.  She knew all too well what it was like to abused like she was a wild animal needing to be tamed.

For six years Brielle has been tormented by her father physically, mentally, and verbally. And he was now taking it out on the women who worked for him, which was something Isaac high disapproved of.

Trinity had already had his nighttime feeding and was fast asleep in his crib.

All Brielle wanted to do was toss her plate of delicious food upside her father and mother's head. Her father for mistreating her, and her mother for allowing it to happen.

Although Bianca was highly unaware of such actions taking place under the roof of her house, she was not blindsided by her husband's whereabouts at night. She knew his exact location and what he was doing at the time he would leave.

Bianca was captured under her husband's luring spell for her to do what he pleased of her, and for that reason, everything he did seemed pretty gold to Bianca.  She had no mind of her own.  She was a stiff puppet awaiting its strings to be attached to the hands of her husband's and bounced around to make her look like a fool.

"You not hungry, baby?" Travis asked his daughter sweetly, giving her the most affectionate look ever seen upon his face.

"N-not really." Brielle said, her voice barely above a whisper.

"Mmm it's okay. You can put your plate up for later. Go do some studying or something." Travis told her, staring a hole into her face as he continued eating his food.

Bianca remained quiet as she continued to eat her food while her husband and daughter talked.

"O-okay." Brielle placed her fork down next to her plate and quickly rose from the table, exiting out of the dining area into the back of the house where her son's room was.

She crept into Trinity's room slowly, making her way to his crib and stopping to stare at his cozy brown face.

She rubbed his perfectly rounded cheeks with the back of her hand, feeling his soft and smooth skin on hers.

"It's okay baby. We're gon' get through this." She said to him, but more to herself.

She was a bit baffled at how clueless her mother could be at everything surrounding her. Because the facade her father put on every time they were around Bianca, which was not very often, she would find it strange as to why her mother never saw through it how she sees through Brielle and her mischief behavior.

Since most of Brielle's beatings took place at home, she often wondered why her mother never spoke up and said anything. She often thinks she hates her and allows for Travis to use her daughter as his own punching bag.
