As they lowered the baby blue casket into the ground, her eyes were hooded and her heart sank into her feet. Her best friend was gone and there was no other amount of heartbreak and mind bottling pain that could amount to what she felt.
She's not a hateful person, and has never been. Her mindset has been focused on being a good person outside, and within...
During the entire week people had been telling her and her kids that things would be alright, that she's in a much better place, but she refused to give into things so easily.
Foul play was deeply involved and she wanted to make sure the person would rot in hell for all she had cared.
Looking off onto the other side of her, her nephew smiles at her and she hesitantly returns it. She pulled his head into hers and places a kiss on his forehead.
He had just lost his mother and as being the only child of sixteen years, her death took a huge toll on him as he tried to reconcile his feelings for the woman who's the cause of everyone's heartache.
Looking back down into the dark hole where the casket laid, her head began throbbing terribly.
'This shit is war now.' She thought to herself. 'Them bitches gone pay, and I can't wait for the day they have to be buried down in here too. Jail is the least of my gah' damn concerns right now.'
"She didn't deserve this... no one does. That bitch gone pay."
As the two funeral men began to shovel the dirt into the ground, she stormed off from the site, heading to her car.
Her husband and their kids followed suit behind their mother. They knew not to mumble a whisper, for it would anger her deeply and cause an uproar of in which they did not need.
Her husband being the caring and loving guy he is, grabs a hold of her hand and slowly brings it to his face. He places a slight kiss on it then sets it back onto the armrest between them.
Placing the car in drive, he started off for the repast.
Hesitantly reaching for her mom, their daughter taps her arm softly, receiving a strong grimace facial expression. She knew then she had made a mistake by disturbing her.
"What the hell you want?! Y'all been buggin' me all all gah' damn morning and now you wanna fuck with me at the moment some more. What? What?! What?!" She yelled in all four her kids' faces.
They all shuddered and slightly jumped at the shout of her words and continued to stare out the window of the car as their father drove.
Looking over at his wife, he could tell she was stressing over the fact that she had just attended her best friend's funeral. The main person she thought she'd never lose and never wanted to.
"Calm down and stop yellin' at my kids like that. She was tryna ask you a question. Stop bein' so damn hostile. Now shut up and enjoy the damn ride." Her husband snapped at her.
He had never yelled at her for anything so simple, but the rare fact that she was yelling and cursing over nothing was getting under his skin.
The car became quiet and only the gospel section of the radio could be heard playing for the rest of the ride.
Cover made by DCCCIV and it amazing I tell you!
Nothing big compared to what's to come. And for any questions regarding where this scene takes place in the next book, just to let you know it is not the end of the book.
That will be placed in the middle though, but afterwards... it's goin' down!
This is the end of this book... now onto the sequel!!!
