"When you take too much pride into your life, thinking you have everything under control, it's only a matter of time before a situation hits where home hurts and there's no way in the world you can control what's happening. Which means, it won't take you but a second to realize that you may need to put your pride to the side." -Yamesia

Paris rushed into the hospital room where her brother laid up in an unconscious state. A tube to help him breathe were in his nostrils, while a longer tube was pouring down his throat, and an IV grazed the center of his arm.
While Paris was on her way to the hospital, Isaac had unknowingly slipped into a coma. But, the doctors told her that the coma may be temporary, because not in these many cases comas are the problem.
Paris hoped and prayed that her brother would make it out alive as well, but as for her parents, they didn't care what happened to Isaac at the moment. He could die in the hospital at this very moment and his will funeral would be held that Saturday afternoon.
"Oh my God." Paris gasped, walking slowly towards her brother's bed where he laid asleep.
She was in shock and disappointed that such a situation could come to quote terms where things like this could get out of hand. Paris had also learned from Isaac's Doctor that he had been coming to the hospital for cat scans and chemotherapy for the past two years, but had not told a soul.
Paris hunched over the railing, staring down at her brother's cold face. The weather outside was not permitting, and neither was the hospital's.
Her eyes were fixated on the glow of his cold face, trying to find any sort of reasoning as to why Isaac would keep such a secret from not only her, but the entire family, even before the situation at hand happened.
"Why bro? Why did you do it?" She asked, her voice becoming broken and stern. A tear escaped from rift eye and fell into the white bed sheets.
She could not believe the selfishness of her brother and what he did. He had not one time stopped to think about what and who his condition would affect if things had gone from bad to worse, meaning from him being alive to dead in a matter of whatever the time is permitted.
"I can't believe this shit." She mumbled, taking a seat on the couch by the window.
She pulled out her phone and went to her call log, tapping on Malcolm's name which is "Hubby" which a crown, double pink heart, and a ring emoji were placed afterward.
"What up, bae?"
"Get to the hospital,"
"Why? What happened?"
"Just... please get here," She begged Malcolm, sniffling between her words.
"Okay, gimme ten." And with that she hung up the phone.
She could not figure out for the life of her if Isaac would not reach stage four Colon Cancer and leave her and the rest of the family. He's only thirty-four years young and Paris wouldn't be able to take losing one of the most important men I'm her life.
Her dad happened to be number one, Isaac was number two, and of course Malcolm was number three. She also prayed that nothing would happen to her relationship, even though she feels as if she had gotten things taken care of with Brielle wanting to be a home wrecker.
