"The bustling sweet essentials of mother and fatherhood is something one should all enjoy. Take time and enjoy your gift from God." -Yamesia
One year later...
Maureece's gighly screams sounded throughout the house as Malcolm tossed him in the air and threw him over his shoulder. They had been playing hide-and-seek all morning, and Malcolm was beginning to tire out.
As for Maureece, he was a bustling busy body one year old who couldn't stop playing around even if you asked him.
"Patty cake patty cake baker's man. Bake me a cake as fast as you can. Pat it, prick it, mark it with B. Put it in the oven for the baby and me. Yay!" Malcolm cheered. Maureece's giggles chimed in Malcolm's ears and his bright smile formed.
His front two teeth were evident and it warmed Malcolm's heart to see his son happy and cheering. Before Paris had Maureece, he had been mentally preparing himself for fatherhood and the essence of life that come with it.
"Awww, look at my babies." Paris cooed as she walked into their bedroom with her purse.
"Peek-a-boo! Peek-a-boo!" Malcolm covered and uncovered his hands from his face, earning warming giggles and squeals from Maureece.
Maureece looked up at Paris and started bouncing up and down on the bed happily.
"Mama! Mama!" He reached his hands out for Paris and sat her purse down and approached him.
"Hey mama's baby." She picked him up and planted kisses over his face and neck.
When her and Malcolm noticed that Maureece smiled and laughed a lot at nothing, they wondered if he was as ticklish as his mother was.
Turns out, every spot Maureece was ticklish in, Paris managed to have those same spots. The neck, under arms, stomach, feet, and backside.
Motherhood turned out to be quite a challenge for her, but with the help of other mothers at the shop, Cameron, and her aunt Piera, she managed just fine.
"Awww, look at him." Paris cooed, looking down at Maureece who was now asleep.
Malcolm smiled and stood up on the bed and walked towards them and planted a kiss on his son's head.
Another great thing they loved about Maureece was the fact that he always managed to fall asleep once he was in a comforting position.
Lying him down in his new and infant improved crib, Paris turned on the baby monitor and shut off the lamp in his room. Closing the door slightly shut, she walked back towards her and Malcolm's room down the hall.
Paris and Malcolm weren't happy that their son's room was slightly far down the hall from theirs, but he was only in his room whenever he would be playing with his toys or taking a nap.
Parents needed their nap time too, especially when you try to manage keeping your only kid between both jobs. Since Paris didn't want her son inhaling all of the fumes from the shop, she bought a dust ventilator.
It worked in both ways so all dirt and debris would leave the room, enter the vent, and Maureece was able to take the ferocious, toxic fumes of the shop. And to also make things better for his health, she normally sent Maureece to work with his auntie, Milianna, throughout the week.
