A little while later, the four capitals atop the mountain were walking around, trying to see if anyone was truly there. "Ai-yah, isn't anyone here?" Chen wondered.
"We've been walking around for who knows 'ow long and we 'aven't seen anyone," Allison reported from the back.
"I'm getting hungry," Noa admitted, her stomach growling in the process.
"We shourd probabry get you some food then," Naomi suggested. "I berieve we past a prace rike that on the way in here."
As they made their way to the center of the town, Chen stopped in her place at who she saw at what appeared to be a little sushi bar; it was China! He seemed to be looking at some strange object. A huge smile came to Chen's face and her eyes lit up. "Baba!" she cried, running up to him.
By the time China looked up to see who had called him, he was tackled to the ground by Chen, who was trying to give him a hug. Chen held onto China, who was very surprised to see the little girl here of all places. "Chen? What are you doing here, aru?" China asked as he got up. You could hear a creak in his back as he got up. "Ai-yah, my back can't handle this anymore. I'm not as young as I use to be."
Chen giggled nervously as China crossed his arms and gave her a small glare. The other capitals soon caught up with her and stood behind her as Chen tried to get back on her Father's good side. "You see Baba, we followed you all in here to help," Chen said. "We didn't want you going in alone."
China sighed, running his hand through his hair, and then putting it back to his side. "Well there's nothing we can do about it now. You girls are just going to have to be careful. Anything could happen."
"Yes Baba/China," the girls replied.
The Chinese man then invited the girls to come and sit down at the little area he was at. Chen filled China in on everything that happened with Noa and then the whole splitting up that led up to the current point. China nodded as he listened to all that Chen had to say. After she had finished, Chen wanted to ask some questions of her own. "Baba, how come you're here all by yourself aru?"
Just then, someone called out China's name; "China!!!~"
China turned to see that it was Russia that had called out his name. He and the four capitals looked to see that the other nations and capitals had arrived. "There you all are!" China said with a smile as he got up. "I thought I would never see you guys again!" He and the other capitals got up from their spots around the table and walked over to join the rest of the group. Immediately, France and Japan scolded Allison and Naomi about getting involved in the danger. Then America noticed Amanda wasn't with them.
"Uh guys, did Amanda not come?" he asked.
The four capitals that had spent the most time in the night realm gasped in realization; "The road was brocked. Amanda was there the rast time we saw her," Naomi explained.
"But the road wasn't blocked on our way up," Amelia stated.
America began to panic a bit. "Oh my gosh, oh my gosh!" he panicked. "You mean she's missing?!"
"America, you need to calm down," Canada insisted, trying to keep America calm, although, he would've done the same if the tables were turned. "Amanda is a smart kid. I'm sure she's fine."
"Canada is right, aru," China agreed. "I'm sure Amanda is fine."
While America seemed to calm down a bit, the hairs on the back of Rose's neck, well, rose. Something was off about China, she just knew it. It was like the feeling she got when the capitals were rescuing Noa from Reve. Or when the nations were rescuing Canada from the fake America. Maybe I'm wrong, Rose thought. It couldn't possible be him, right?
Rose was not alone on her suspicions. Natie, too, felt that something was off about China. She just wondered why her Father and Chen couldn't see it- or if she was going crazy.
So splitting up seemed to be the best option in order to find Korea. Chen, Allison, Naomi and Noa told them where they explored and the countries took that into consideration when they decided on where to go. France, Allison, and Noa went West; America, Canada, and Emma went North; Japan and Naomi went South, and China, Russia, Chen and Natie went East. That left Britain, Germany, Amelia, and Rose to explore all around you could say. Although it was definitely a weird grouping- for the nations anyway.
In the time they had spent on this whole adventure, Rose got to know Amelia a whole lot better than she thought she ever would. She had always been told by her Father how scary Britain and his cooking was but was never told about his daughter. Rose assumed she was much like her Dad but found that the two were somewhat polar opposites. The same went for Amelia, who learned more about Rose than she thought was possible. The two somewhat connected a bit, not on the same level that Rose had connected with Katrina or Naomi but still in a way that Rose was certain would inspire a good friendship.
As they walked around and listened to the two men talk, Rose confessed to Amelia about the strange feeling she had around China; "It was really weird, Amelia," Rose admitted as they walked.
"And you're certain it's the same feeling that you had when we were around Reve before?" Amelia asked, wanting to get all the facts in order before she jumped to any conclusions.
Rose simply nodded. "I'm positive."
Amelia placed a hand to her chin and began to think as they walked. She wasn't sure if she should inform her Father or not, only going off of a hunch that Rose had had. Then again, Rose had been pretty spot-on so far in this dream world, what with following the butterfly, knowing the password, and being able to spot out that Reve had disguised himself as Spain. Why would her instincts be wrong now? And how were they so spot on? Did it have to do with being in Italy's head?
"Amelia?" Rose asked after the young Brit had stayed silent for a while. Amelia snapped out of her trance and looked over at Rose.
"Yes Rose?"
"You okay? You looked like you were lost in your thoughts."
"Yes, yes, I'm fine."
Rose smiled. Then her smile disappeared as she looked up at the sky. "So, what do you think? Do you think that that was Mr. China?"
"I'm not sure. Although, it did seem like he wasn't acting like himself. Still, it could be because of what had happened to him being abandoned and all."
"I hope you're right."
