Question - What did I do to catch your eye?? I mean, we were both dorky 10 year olds, I couldn't have been impressive. And I know for a fact I was dirty and gross the first time you saw me.

In honesty, you weren't all that dirty. Just wet from all the melted snow.

And yes, we were both dorky ten-year-olds, but you had just shown up in the freaking sun chariot with Percy and Thalia, who were the talk of the camp then. Talk about impressive.

Oh yeah, my dad was there too. 

Emma says I'm being weird and cryptic, so I'm just going to tell what happened from my point of view.

(This is the first time I've told anyone this, ever.)

I was in the bushes by the camp lake, when all of a sudden I hear a noise like an airplane coming in. Since I was literally in the bush, I couldn't look up, so I started backing out of the shrubbery, in case something was falling out of the sky.

I was right.

Now, I don't know about you, but when the sun is hurtling towards me at high speed, I run. 

Well, I try to. 

Being the clumsy dork that I was (and still am), I tripped over a rock and ended up in the dirt. 

At this point, I was very sure that I was going to die, so I was pleasantly surprised when I didn't. I stood up, expecting to see aliens (Lee had told me about E.T. a couple of days earlier.)

Instead, I saw- some girl.

Followed by a bunch of other girls, all of whom looked really powerful and really scary.

The Hunters of Artemis.

Then Thalia stepped out, and I let out a breath of relief. She didn't look like she was being held prisoner, so I figured we weren't being invaded. Percy was behind her, and behind him was-

Wow.

That was my only thought.

(Admin: I'm going to die this is adorable)

"Whoa. Is that a climbing wall?"

To be completely honest, you had me at 'Whoa.'

There was this look of complete awe on your face. You were just so captivated by everything.

That's not all of what made me fall in love with you, though.

I remember Bianca coming up to you and whispering something in your ear.

Then you scowled.

That was the absolute cutest scowl ever.

You know that feeling where, out of the blue, you think of something awesome and you just start smiling for no reason?

Yeah. That's how it felt. I felt like I had a secret, and a really good one, too.

So there's me, standing in the woods clutching an arrow in my ten-year-old hands, smiling nervously and just kind of staring at the new boy until he walked off.

End scene.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how I fell in love.
