The Last Elite (Book One).

Chapter 12: Time to Act

The next day I woke up and went straight into the mess hall. I ate and did a normal routine with showering, P.T. and normal armor maintenance. It was bout high noon when Tiger Fange approached me and i could tell something was about to happen.

"I think it's time to stop hiding in the shadows and start acting" she blurted as she stared me down.

"What makes you think we can take down an entire species " I scoffed. "We are only two people and they have an entire planet" I scolded.

"We have to at least try, we can sabotage their bases and cut off the convoys that come close to us. We don't have to hide and run for our lives every day" she pleaded. Something from yesterday had triggered this and i knew it had to deal with the vow of revenge she had made to her fallen comrades. To me it was a suicide mission, we were only two people against an entire army. Sure we could hide in the shadows and be a never ending thron in their side. But to take them out or a very large majority of them left a huge margin for error on our part.

"If we are to be successful in doing something like that we have to stick to the sahdows. We can't just go in there all hyped up and just take on the entire raknash army head on. They would cut us down and then there would be no hope for earth if the plan to go to war. Our people wouldn't see it coming and they would be slaughtered like sheep" I explained trying to get it through her mind that trying to take them on with force wouldn't only end up in death. 

"So what do you propose we do? Hide and run hoping that the little forces we do engage can actually hurt them in some way?" she hissed "This is no way to live, always running from the enemy when we should be taking action to warn our people and cripple the enemies forces so that we can at least have a fighting chance" she spat anger boiling in her eyes. She wasn't going to back down and again i found myself in a position that either with or withut me she was going to try and take down the Raknash army and people one by one or die trying.

"Then lets take action, but lets play it smart and not expose ourselves to the full Raknash force until we can spread them thin and then take them out" I suggested. I knew i had her attention but for how long i didn't know so i had to keep pushing it and hopefully get her to see things my way and then we could start our war on the Raknash. "Lets stay in the shadows and scout out key targets on this fucking rock and then one by one take them out. They would be forced to spread their army thin and then thats when we can show ourselves and face them only then can we emerge victorious and get them message out to our people" I pushed. 

It seemed like forever as Tiger Fang pondered all that i ahd just told her. Finally she looked at me dead in my eyes with a gaze that turned my blood to ice and froe me to the very ground i stood on. "then lets play it by your plan. BUt if it don't work, then we do it may way" she gleamed maliciously and then finally hugged me.

"I think i can agree to that" I mused as i wrapped my arms around her holding her body close to mine. My plan had to work if it didn't and we went with her plan we will be dead within a week. About an hour later we both suited up and i slide my daggers in my gaunlets and my sword on my back. We meet at the front doors of our outpost and stood there staring at each other for hte longest time. "I think this time we need to spit up" I said as i dimmed my visor to counter act the afternoon glare from the sun.

"I agree, but we need to stay on the same channel so we can communicate " she cooed as she slid her arms around my waist and stared up at me through her helmet.

"Okay, channel three is what we will set our comms on" I ordered as i immediately switched over my radio to that channel and quickly tested it out to see if it works. "you hear me okay?" i asked as i scanned the forest  for any sign of movement.
