The Last Elite (Book One).

Chapter 16: Time to Execute

We waited in that van until about two in the morning. Slowly I opened the back of the van door and quickly visually swept the area for enemy patrols. I didn't see any so i silently slipped out and around the corner of the loading dock where the Driver had parked right before Tiger Fang slit his throat. His body was still in the drivers seat hunched over like he was taking a very long nap. Tiger Fang followed close behind and followed me until we got the the loading dock's security complex. Inside there were two guards fast asleep. I crept in and got right behind them and peeked over them to get a glimpse of the camera's . They were everywhere, it didn't look like there was even one corner that was a camera blind spot.

I tried to search around the desk to find any maintenance manuscripts or a map and got lucky when i found a map of the entire HQ. We were on the far south side and the two places we needed to be were on the north and east side which was the comm center and on the north end the high command chambers. I quietly snagged the map without waking up the guards and slipped back out to where Tiger Fang was waiting.

"I got a map, but wee have to move now while the guards are asleep. It looks like this is not only the loading docks security center but the entire HQ's security center as well and right now they are out cold" I whispered as I showed her the map.

"Okay so whats the plan?" Tiger Fang asked looking over my shoulder.

"You know the codes for earth and also have the skills to encrypt them so they can't decode them" I began. "So you go to the comms center in the eastern side of the HQ and ill go to the chambers and end things there" I continued as i pointed out the path to where we both would be going.

"Just don't die on me, i need you" Tiger Fang cooed as she bolted into the shadows toward the comms center.

Now it was just me, I looked around and made sure my way was clear and then bolted for the high command chambers. I spent the next hour dodging random patrols and at one point had to jump inside a garbage pit to avoid detection. Now i found myself at the door step of the chamber building. It was massive and looked almost exactly like the stock exchange building in New York back on earth. I took a deep breath and drew Silverscale and prepared myself for the fight that was about to ensue. It felt like i had stood out there forever trying to steal the nerve to bust down the door. After another five minutes i had to do it i ran at the door and thrusted out my foot and kicked the door in. The walk way was narrow and i had to sheath Silverscale because i couldn't wield it properly.

I drew both daggers and rushed the two guards that had just rounded the corner to check out the loud noise. I was on them before they could even react stabbing both in the chest and downing them instantly. I withdrew my daggers from the guards' chest and kept running  trying to get to the top commanders as fast as possible. I flew past guard after guard and at some points they were in my way so  i would either slice their Achilles tendon or their throats as i passed by. I finally got to the stairs and bolted up them as the alarm finally sounded in my area.

The one thing good about this was i at least drew attention towards myself instead of Tiger Fang. Which should make her job that much easier, now advancing was getting harder as more Raknash started barring my way. At one point i was completely surrounded and had to fight my way out against thirty or so Raknash. After another hour i got to the commanders main door and busted them down. but was instantly greeted with the commanders sitting in their chairs four in all and what looked like half of the Raknash army.

"Welcome legendary warrior of Backrendor" announced one of the commanders.

"How nice of you to make our job killing you so much easier" one of the others hissed.

"I think you got it mixed up, it's going to be you all who die" I prickled drawing Silverscale and bracing my mind for the amount of death i was about to cause.

"I'll tell you what human, if you can kill us four with only that blade. I'll issue the order right now for all my men to stand down" one of the commanders smirked. I guessed he was the supreme commander on account of his robes where a lot brighter and more colorful than the rest.

"Four on one?" I grinned, "I accept".

"Good" the supreme commander grinned. Before i knew it all four had drawn cutlass blades and charged me. I only had a second to brace myself and then start parrying and dodging as they all attacked relentlessly. They never let up for a moment bashing and slashing and charging me. They had me on my heels in seconds, i finally messed  up and blocked too high which allowed one of the commanders to side kick me in the gut which sent me through a window on the far side of the room. I feel for what seemed like a hour before I crashed into the ground and had the air literally vanish from my lungs. 

I started  focusing on my breathing as i watched all four commanders hurl themselves from the window. I quickly lunged even though out of breath and feeling like i was suffocating but still somehow managed to time it perfect. I slid right under the first commander that jumped out and thrusted Silverscale up and ran him through as he landed on my blade almost getting cut right in two. I rolled out from under him and pulled out my sword. The other three commanders stood there staring at their dead comrade in awe. Even the supreme commander was shocked, I used this to my advantage. I clenched my fist around the hilt of my sword and sprinted at the closest one who was probably the most dumbfounded and severed his spine as i ran past making my way to the others.

By the time the other commanders reacted i was on them the third commander tried to slash at me but i ducked under it and stepped to the outside of his arm and cut across his throat. But as the third commander dropped I locked onto the supreme commander and attacked. I threw everything i had at him and he blocked everything like it was training day. Finally i stabbed at him and he grabbed my wrist and snapped my arm in two. Fire and lightning shocked up my arm and pain followed close behind. I screamed in pain and agony as he then threw me across the open grounded into a nearby storage building. Blood started flowing from the hole in my armor where he had broken my arm.

I switched hands and ran at him again but was met with the same blocks and dodges. I couldn't beat him he was too fast too strong. I rolled to the side favoring my arm and slashed at his ankles but he jumped over my blade and landed behind me. Before i could turn he grabbed my other arm and broke it at the shoulder. I screamed again as i felt more blood start flowing from my wounds. Instead of throwing me he turned me around and took off my helmet exposing my face to him. He smiled and then threw me against a tree hard enough i broke three ribs. It was suddenly hard to breath, like a gorilla was sitting on my chest and then pounding it with his fists. I started coughing up blood, but when i did i fell on my face and couldn't get up on the account of my broken arms.

"You managed to kill my comrades, but yet you fail to show any strength further than what i already have seen" the supreme commander laughed as he strolled up to me and sat me back up. "For killing three of us i will make your death quick as a reward" he smiled as he placed the tip of his cutlass on my chest. "What is the word you humans use when your about to kill someone you hate?" the commander thought.

At that moment i saw it, Tiger Fang. She was coming and fast too, she must have gotten out the message and then came to help me. I was suddenly filled with defiance and in a loud voice i shouted at the supreme commander. "GO TO HELL!" and I spit in his face.

"You nasty little vermin, ill cut your head off and make it a trophy in my office!" he roared and he drew back his cutlass to behead me. That is when she struck driving both daggers through his back and then letting go activating their bombs. She then flashed to my side and surprisingly picked me up and darted off as the Raknash roared with rage and then was silenced by a loud "BOOM BOOM" as the daggers detonated in his back. relief filled me and the adrenaline began to wear off as did my endurance and in her arms i passed out from my wounds and loss of blood.
