Silver dreams hooked on a line
Almost running out of time.
She couldn't walk, would never run
He held her hostage without a gun
Silver dreams in a deep blue sea
Stuck to the line she looked like me
Always holding fast to lies
Always blind to crazy eyes
Silver dreams like a thief in the night
Robbed her of faith in broad daylight
Siphoned her breath and relieved her of hope
Sent her spiraling down an endless slope
Silver dreams with bubbles in hand
Made her turn from every man
With revenge in her heart and fear in her eyes
In everyone's mouth she would put his lies.
Silver dreams with bigger plans
Made her stretch up above her hands
With God's help she made it through
Seeing the beauty beneath her blue
Silver dreams with silver hooks
She was charmed again by some boyish looks
Afraid at first but giving in
She gave him the love that was locked within
Silver dreams behind silver eyes
Through the depths of despair God made her rise.
She opened her eyes with brand new hope
And from the heavens came someone to pull her back up that slope.
Silver dreams, now gasping for air
No longer peering through the eyes of despair.
Now in my dreams I can hardly see
How in that deep blue sea she looked a lot like me.
