Episode 1 : Meeting Him

Miyeon's POV

"Miyeon, wake up!"

I heard Mrs Kim's voice waking me up. I slowly sits up on my bed & yawn sleepily. Is there a reason Mrs Kim wakes me up so early?

I look at the calendar on my nightstand to see the date. So that's why... Today is the first day to school. I mentally groans.

New year, new struggles, new life.

I look at the clock beside the calendar to see it's already 6:30 a.m. Classes start at 8 a.m. but today is the first day of school so the principal must be speaking today. So I have to start moving now or I'll be late for school.

After done showering, I walk downstairs to the kitchen. There I see Mr Kim, Mrs Kim & Da Jung already eating at the table. Mrs Kim gives me my plate. After eating, I excuse myself to go to school.

Oh, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Lee Miyeon. Not really my real name but the people in the orphanage calls me that. When I'm 15, I'd been adopted by the Kims. I refused to change my surname & keep it as Lee. Kim Da Jung is my step sister.

The Kims said after giving birth Da Jung, Mrs Kim can't pregnant again cuz she's too old. So they want to adopt another daughter, that is me. I don't even know why they choose me. I close myself from everyone & only talk when necessary so the parents didn't adopt me. The Kims said they can picture me with them in the future. So weird.

Da Jung, their only daughter despise me at first cuz 1. I'm older than her. 2. I'm not blood related to them. But after that she gets familiar with me. In school, we pretend to not know each other.

But I'm really grateful that they adopted me cuz it's my ticket for freedom. I had thought to wait until I'm 18 to get out of the orphanage but it's too long to wait. Now I can freely gather information about my real parents easily.

I reached my school after 30 minutes of walking. I see there's not many students in the school. I guess I came early.

"Miyeon unnie!!!!!"

I heard a shout of my name but before I can turn around, a force push me making me almost lost my balance. I look up to see Jung Jiyeon back hugging me. Seriously this girl?

"Unnie, I miss u so much! U didn't contact us during the summer!" She pouts.

I try to get out of her strong grip. Gah! I'm suffocated!

"Jiyeon, I know u miss ur favourite unnie so much but no need to hug Miyeon so strong. Her face is pale now." The concern Hwang Sae Hee said.

Jiyeon automatically release me, "Oppss... sorry unnie!"

I sigh in relief & glare at her. She just smile cheekily at me.

"What Jiyeon said is true tho. U didn't contact us at all during summer." Seo Na Na said.

I just shrug, really dunno what to say. Then I see the students whispering to themselves & the girls are giggling to themselves.

"What's going on?" I asks my friends.

"There's a rumour that 7 hot new guys are going to attend this school." Ha Min Joo said.

"I already said it's the Kpop boy band, Bangtan Boys!" Jiyeon said.

"And how do u know it's the Bangtan Boys?" Sae Hee asks.

"Because Jhope is my older brother!" Jiyeon said excitedly.

"Yeah right." Na Na said, not believing her.

"But it's true!" Jiyeon whines.

"Girls, let's just go to the hall now." Sae Hee said.
