Jesy pushed open the door and we both walked in and jumped, our arms out, and we were doing jazz hands. "Jesy! Amie!" Kate squealed as soon as she saw us.

"Hey there Kat." I smiled and hugged her, using the nickname I had given her.

"What's up?" Jesy asked, doing a quick handshake with her.

"Hey, can you two girls watch her for a bit, we are going to go get something to eat." Mrs. Jones asked, getting up from her seat.

"Of course!" I smiled at Mrs.Jones.

"Okay, behave for these girls." Mr.Jones rubbed Kate's bald head and smiled at us. "Thank you."

"No problem." Jesy said with a wink.

Kate's parents smiled, grabbed a couple of things, slipped on their shoes, kissed Kate, and practically mobbed each other out of the room. They deserved a break although it would be short. They had been through so much, and I had learned every bit of their story and they learned mine. My family considered them the relatives we never had, we all loved each other. Just a bit of a crazy family. Kate was, of course, our little princess.

"So, Jesy, you know One Direction right?" Kate asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Yah, why?" Jesy asked.

"Because I love them!" Kate laughed.

We ended up talking about our favorite members of both Little Mix and One Direction and why. Due to the fact that Jesy and I lived with Little Mix and clearly Jesy is part of Little Mix, we didn't have a favorite. Kate had played all of her favorite songs from each band, a total of 10 each. She clearly loved both bands, her laptop background was a collage of pictures from both bands. I had never really noticed her obsession before but I guess I never really had a reason to. We didn't just talk about music, we also messed around and laughed at each other in the messed up selfies we took.

"Amie, where's you phone!? You neeeeddd to show Jesy our selfies!" Kate giggled.

I pulled my iPhone out of my back pocket and handed it to Kate. "Watch it, these can end up on the Internet." I warned sarcastically.

"Okay, Jesy, Amie and I take this really funny and weird selfies. Like, really weird. Maybe weirder than Jade and Perrie." Kate explained as she typed my password in, something only she had the privilege of knowing.

"That's saying a lot." Jesy said with a raised eyebrow.

"Oh! This is my favorite!" Kate smiled at my phone as she scrolled through the photos, Jesy and I on opposite sides of her.

"Now that is attractive." Jesy laughed pointing to a picture.

"We have so many, these photos have their own album." I laughed.

"Oh no!" Kate squealed.

"What, did you post one to Instagram again? We can delete it remember." I said simply.

"No silly. My laptop died. No more music." She frowned. "Wait! You have music right?!"

"Why wouldn't I." I smiled.

"Oh my! You have so many songs!" Kate gasped.

"Let me see." Jesy looked at my phone. "God da-ng that's a lot!"

"Language!" I swatted her arm, laughing a bit. "And yes I know. I've gotten so many iTunes gift cards, I'm pretty sure I'll never run out." I said with a laugh.

Kate looked extremely focused as she scrolled through the song albums. "And shuffle!" She squealed as she pressed the button.

It only took me a couple of seconds to realize what album she had chosen. It was an album I had put together in my spare time, which turned out to be quite a lot of time. The music from the piano filled the little hospital room. A few seconds later, my voice. 'She captures her reflection then she throws the mirror to the floor'. The whole album was full of me playing my piano along with me singing. It was an album for only me to listen to, not for others.

"How about you choose another album." I said, reaching for my phone.

"Oh come on Amie, this is really good!" Kate frowned.

"I want to hear this, and it's my song. And you're an amazing singer." Jesy said, swatting my hand away, laughing a bit.

'Her image is distorted screaming is it worth it anymore? No-oh-oh'

"Fine." I blushed a bit.

Kate smiled at me and turned the sound up. Immediately I realized that it was my cover of Change Your Life by Little Mix, a song I had actually helped them write. Jesy had gotten the idea from me too. We had all contributed different parts to the song, and it turned out amazing for sure. 'Are you scared of the things that they might put you through? Does it make you wanna hide the inner you? You’re not the only one so let them criticize. You’re untouchable when you realize. Change, change your life, take it all. We’re gonna stick together, know we’ll get through it all.' I smiled. The four of them had written part of the chorus with me in my hospital room.

"This is really good!" Kate smiled at me.

"You're a really good singer Amie." Jesy nodded.

'Change, change your life, take it all
You’re gonna use it to become what you’ve always known'

"Thanks." I blushed a bit.

'His body starts to flicker like nobody wants to know his name, just another soul with feelings but nobody's there to feel the pain.'

"They can rip you, bring you down, down to their size. But they will never get to the heart you hold inside." I sang along.

Kate giggled and ushered me to go on, as I harmonized with myself. "You’re not the only one so let them criticize
You’re untouchable when you realize-"

"Change, change your life, take it all. We’re gonna stick together, know we’ll get through it all. Change, change your life, take it all. You’re gonna use it to become what you’ve always known." Jesy joined in, already knowing the lyrics.

"Change, change your life, take it all.
Change, change your life, take it all." Kate belted out laughing.

"Pipe down in there!" A nurse barked.

"Sorry Ms. Pennington!" I called out.

"What a grump." Jesy laughed.

"She's the worst!" Kate whispered as she turned off the music and handed my phone back to me. "Hey, both of you sing! You two are definitely going to be best friends forever. It's destined."

"Where does she come up with these things?" I asked laughing.

"No idea. She is the wisest person I know." Jesy shook her head in disbelief.

"And I'm only seven!" Kate squealed as the door opened to her hospital room. "Hey mum!"

"Hey honey." Mrs.Jones walked over and kissed Kate on her head. "How was she?" She asked.

"Perfectly fine." Jesy smiled.

"Just as we expected." Mr.Jones laughed. "You two better be going, visiting hours are almost done." He frowned a bit.

"Alright." Jesy pouted a bit. "By Mr and Mrs. Jones!" She smiled and hugged them both. "Bye Kit Kat!" She squeezed Kate in a tight hug, resulting in Kate laughing.

"Bye!" I squealed and hugged both Mr and Mrs.Jones. "By cancer sister." I said with a wink as I hugged Kate.

"Cheerio!" Kate squealed to both of us.

Jesy and I said a couple more goodbyes and left. "Hey, text me alright?" Jesy said.

"Of course." I smiled and waved goodbye to her and walked to my hospital room.
