January 27th, 2013

I woke up to a little girl jumping all over my bed, screaming my name and scream-singing along to Wings by Little Mix. I tossed over, trying to block out the noise by pulling a pillow over my head but failing miserably. Her voice was so loud! And my pillow had fallen due to all the jumping, joining the rest of the pillows and all of the sheets. I laid on my back again and blinked open my eyes to see Kate jumping around me and dancing horribly but it was still cute.

“Cause wings are made to fly!!! Amie! Wakey wakey!” She sang-screamed, tossing her head back and forth to the beat.

“I’m awake.” I moaned. “Kate! I’m awake!” I screamed over her.

“Oh!” Kate laughed and jumped down, landing in the pile of sheets and pillows. “Took you awhile!” She giggled as she turned off the music on an iPhone.

“Is that mine?” I asked, sitting up, containing a yawn.

“Maybe. Maybe not.” She giggled.

“Did you do anything besides play music?” I asked her, raising an eyebrow.

“Maybe. Maybe not.” She said again, sassily, as she stuck out her tongue.

“Oh you little!” I jumped down and began to tickle her.

“Fine! Fine! Stop!” She said through her contagious laughter,. “I took a picture of you sleeping and a lot of me.” She giggled as she handed my phone back to me.

“Why thank you dearest cancer FREE sister!” I said, putting emphasis on the free.

“You heard?” She grinned, standing straight up and jumping.

“Of course!” I squealed to her, imitating her.

“We’re both cancer free!” She shrieked.

“Kate! We were wondering where you went.” Mr. Jones said as he walked into my room. “Good morning Amie, sorry if Kate woke you up.”

“Oh it’s fine.” I rolled my eyes lightly.

“Congratulations on the news by the way.” Mr. Jones smiled at me.

“Thanks. Congratulations to you guys too. We all finally get to leave this place!” I laughed as I got up.

“Exactly.” He laughed. “Kate, go back to mum, she ordered you breakfast.”

“Oh yum!” Kate gave me a quick hug and raced out of the room.

“So, Jesy called me this morning. You guys didn’t have to put a party together for Kate.” Mr. Jones said.

“You’re right, we didn’t have to. But the thing is, Mr. Jones, we wanted to.” I said. “Kate deserves this.”

“Alright, but you better be partying too.” Mr.Jones said.

“I’ve never been told that by an adult.” I said with a slight eyebrow raise and a smirk.

“We’ll see you later tonight, Amie. Congratulations from all of us as well.” He gave me a quick hug then left.

I smiled then yawned. What time was it anyways? I grabbed my phone and turned it on. 7:28 AM. Pretty early. I yawned once more and called room service, ordering a tea along with a bagel. I unlocked my phone and scrolled down my messages. I missed quite a lot. Yikes.
