I blinked open my eyes. A smile plastered my face. Home. I was home, not in a hospital room that I knew all too well and didn’t care the slightest bit for. I was in my own home with four of my best friends. I forced myself to sit up and look at my iHome. 10:13 AM. They should still be here right? They did have a lot of recording to do lately for their upcoming album. Quickly, I had pushed the covers off of myself, my feet now touching the plush cream carpeting. Man did I miss this carpeting, it is so much nicer than those yellowed tile floors in the hospital. I trudged over to my full length mirror attached to the back of my door, simultaneously grabbing a hoodie and slipping it on over my pajamas, which were really just some flannel gray sweatpants from Victoria’s Secret and a thick aquamarine tank top. My hair was in some sort of a braid that Perrie must have managed to do last night. All the memories from last night filled my mind. There was no doubt that it would be on of my favorite days. Or at least nights. I opened my door, not bothering to close it, and proceed to the stairs right across from my room, bounding down them as quietly and fastly as I could, which is pretty contradicting if I must say so myself. As I continued down the stairs I noticed that everyone’s door besides Jesy’s was open: Leigh-Anne’s was open a crack, Jade’s wide open, and Perrie’s was halfway open. As I reached the last few stairs I could now hear Perrie’s contagious laughter echoing from the kitchen and throughout the first floor. I walked into the kitchen and laughed a bit at the sight. Leigh-Anne was cooking eggs and pancakes on the stove, dancing a bit as she bounced between the two. Jade was singing horribly as she cooked some bacon, or at least shook the pan that had some bacon in it. Perrie was singing her lowest voice until she couldn’t take herself seriously any longer and burst out laughing yet again.
“Oh, how I’ve missed this.” I sighed, sitting down at a stool by the kitchen bar that we used as more counter space, normally filled with miscellaneous things you’d find in a kitchen.
“Awww, how sentimental of you sleeping beauty!” Perrie joked.
“I’m sleeping beauty?” I raised an eyebrow. “Not Jesy who is still sleeping?”
“Well, then she’s sleeping beauty the second.” Jade laughed, knowing how stupid that sounded.
“And how long have you all been awake?” I pointed out, knowing that it mustn’t have been long, we weren’t very early birds, especially after a party.
“Alright, calm down. We are just joking.” Jade laughed. “Now can you come and take over and cook this bacon?” Jade asked, gesturing to the pan. “I’m not even the slightest bit sure as to what to do now.”
“What?!” Perrie shrieked. “Don’t burn or ruin our bacon! Why didn’t you say you didn’t know how to do it in the first place!” She pouted. “Amie, fix this bacon!”
“Move it.” I rolled my eyes at their stupid childish fight. “I’ll see what I can do.” I took a look at the bacon and moved them around with some tongs. “No need to freak out. They should be fine. You just needed to flip them and move them apart from each other so that they don’t stick together but otherwise good job.” I said as I began to separate and flip them.
“Was that a compliment?!” Jade fake gasped.
“Go set the table you two.” Leigh-Anne instructed. “Everyone is eating. And you can wake Jesy up after you are done. Leave the cooking to us.”
“Why do we have to do it?” Jade whined.
“Do you want to do the cooking?” I retorted.
“Move your bum Jade!” Perrie replied immediately, grabbing some plates.
