"You know what's weird?" Holly as she looked over at Michael.
Michael crossed his feet so his legs were straight out in front of him.
"What?" Michael answered as he watched Holly fold washed clothing into a basket.
"I always thought we'd all come together at Emily's wedding, not Poppy's"
Michael chuckled softly as he raise his eyebrows and looked away from her.
"Don't speak too soon" Michael mumbled making Holly tilt her head at him in confusion.
"You actually think they will get married?" Holly asked making Michael look at her again. He moved his arms from the top of the sofa to his sides and sifted his body to look at her.
"Are you really going to tell me that Emily will actually end up marrying that Rob dude?" Michael asked. Holly shrugged.
"I wasn't expecting her to say yes in the first place" Holly answered "who knows"
"I might not know Emily well but I do know that she probably only said yes because it was in front of a crowd" Michael commented making Holly nod
"You'd be right by saying that"
"I know, I'm always right" Michael smiled at Holly who rolled her eyes at him.
"Whatever" Holly laughed a little "I don't know what she's going to do"
"Calum's running away from it" Michael informed Holly making her give him a questioning look "he's going back to LA"
"How long for?" Holly asked a frown coming over her features.
"Until we have to come back her for tour probably" Michael shrugged.
"Is he okay?" Holly asked a little concerned.
"It's hard to tell, Calum doesn't let people know how he's feeling" Michael sighed a little "He lost himself about two years ago now"
"What do you mean?" Holly asked walking over and sitting next to Michael on the sofa.
"He went a little crazy, drugs and partying all that stuff. Almost like he was back in high school. He didn't want the fame anymore he said 'he lost too much because of the damn job'. It was hard for the band but somehow he came out of it and we got through it" Michael told the story remembering back to his broken best friend "I'm scared that's what's going to happen again"
Holly stared at Michael "And no one will be there to stop him" holly whispered a little.
Parker came running in holding a Spider-Man figure and a super man figure.
"Mikey" Parker screamed with a smile and held out the superman figure to Michael. Holly smiled to herself before she stood up and walked out with the washing basket in her hip.
It had somehow become a regular thing for Michael to be at her house. Weirdly, they have become friends. He isn't the same guy she knew in high school that's obvious. He is softer, and like a child. He is a total sweetheart who has had his heart broken properly for the first time.
The doorbell rung making Holly look towards the of her house.
She frowned not expecting anyone to come over. She walked over and opened it to find no other but Emily herself standing there biting her nails.
"Hey" Holly smiled opening to door to let her in.
"Hi" Emily mumbled a little.
Emily noticed the male shoes next to the front door and gave Holly a questioning look.
"EMMY!" Parker screamed running out of the living room and down the hall straight into Emily's arms.
"Hey little man" Emily cooed as she stood up with him resting on her hip.
"I got a new figure!" Parker said excitement in his eyes.
"Oh my gosh I love it!" Emily smiled as she looked at the Spider-Man in his little hands.
Michael stood awkwardly in the doorway of Holly living room.
"Hey" Emily said noticing him in the doorway.
"Hey" Michael nodded. Parker wiggled in Emily's arms signalling he wanted to be put down, so she did and he ran into the living room dragging Michael with him.
Emily gave Holly a suspicious look before Holly rolled her eyes and lead her into the kitchen.
"It's not what you're thinking" Holly said in a hushed tones making Emily smirk at her.
"And what am I thinking?" Emily asked making Holly sigh and pick up the kettle.
"He's just a friend" Holly insisted as she poured water in to the kettle.
"Considering I haven't said anything about it you're being very defensive" Emily commented watched her best friend place tea bags into two mugs.
"I know what you're thinking so you don't need to say anything" Holly comment glancing over her shoulder at Emily who sat at her wooden kitchen table.
"Okay Holls" Emily chuckled a little as she played with the charm hanging off her pandora bracelet.
"So why are you here?" Holly asked as she walked to the fridge to get the milk out. Emily stayed silent. It had been a week since she broke it off with Rob but she hadn't told anyone other than Jake because he noticed the ring missing. He swore he'd say nothing to Holly. Which he kept to considering Holly never called her about it or showed up on her door step.
Holly placed a mug infront of Emily before she sat down cradling her own mug.
"I broke up with Rob" Emily said flatly. Holly's eyes widen in surprise, she wasn't expecting that.
"What when?" Holly asked in a rushed tone
"Last week" Emily she looking up at her best friend.
"Why didn't you call me? I would've eaten ice cream with you" Holly insisted making Emily chuckle and shake her head.
"I wasn't heart broken" Emily shrugged "there was no need"
"So what are you doing?"
"Moving out" Emily sighed "Which is why I came here"
"Do you wanna stay here?" Holly questioned.
"I wasn't planning on that" Emily chuckled a little at Holly's excitable tone. "I want you to come and look for an apartment with me"
"Oh you know I love a good house shop" Holly teased with a smile "of course I'll come"
"Good we start tomorrow" Emily nodded before sipping her tea.
"So Michael" Emily said in a low voice. Holly gave her a warning look. "Why is he here?"
"I don't know, I think he's lonely. We just get along well and he loves Parker so that's a pro for me" Holly shrugged
"Have you slept with him?" Emily asked making Holly chock on her tea.
"Jesus no I haven't" Holly hissed making Emily chuckle a little.

"So I'll be back in a few months" Calum said to Joy who nodded. It was just another goodbye like any other.
"You know where I am if you need anything" Joy smiled at him. Calum nodded and hugged his mum.
"I'll call you when I'm back in LA" Calum informed her.
"Okay sweetheart" Joy nodded before she looked at her son "Calum you leaving, it doesn't haven't anything to do with Emily does it?"
Callum froze a little, it had everything to do with Emily.
"I just want to get back to writing, I'm better at that in LA" Calum shrugged a little. Joy gave him a soft smile and a nod before she waved him off.
Calum got in the car with Jennifer waiting inside.
"Ready?" Calum asked making Jennifer smile and nod.
"I'm ready to go home" Jennifer said softly before placing a kiss on Calum's cheek as he linked his fingers with hers. Maybe this is what he needed.

Emily was still at Holly's, Parker was still playing with his action figures in the floor but Michael wasn't playing much attention.
Ashton had somehow gotten here as well.
"So Calum has left" Ashton started a few moments of silence.
"What?" Emily asked making all three adults look at her.
"He's gone back to LA" Ashton
"Why?" Emily asked a frown forming on her forehead.
"Doesn't wanna stick around here I guess" Ashton shrugged. Michael sighed a little making Emily look at him oddly.
"What?" Emily asked making Michael look over at her.
"I don't know the night you got engaged, he was a mess I'm just worried" Michael rambled.
"Why would you be worried?" Emily asked making Michael look at Ashton. Holly bit her lip thinking about what Michael had told her earlier.
"Calum had a period where he went a little" Ashton paused "He lost himself". Emily felt her heart drop into her stomach. "He starting drinking, partying, using drugs and sleeping around" Ashton listed making a lump form in Emily's throat. "He was a mess and he nearly had to call off the tour. He wasn't happy, he was lonely and he completely shut himself off. It was weird"
"Then suddenly he was fine and back to himself" Michael continued "I'm not saying I think he's going to do it again"
"But it's possible" Emily said nodding her head a little.
"I'm surprise he didn't tell you" Ashton said making Emily look at him.
"Yeah I'm the girl to tell about drugs" Emily said her voice dripping in sarcasm. "You guys need to make sure he's okay"
"Yeah but we're not going back to LA for a few weeks" Michael shrugged "he's with Jennifer"
"Great" Emily mumbled sighing a little.
"He's probably fine" Ashton said making Emily scoff a little.
"But if he isn't, it's my fault".
