Emily walked into the office building that Rob worked in. It was more than weird to be walking back into this building. Emily walked through the reception and into a elevator pressing the button for the top floor. She crossed her arms and tapped her fingers against her arm as she waited for the doors to ding open. She didn't know if she should feel weird about seeing Rob again, she hadn't seen him since they broke up. Even though they weren't in love they were engaged, and it was an odd concept.
Finally, the doors dinged open and Emily walked out making a few people frown in confusion, because why would Emily be back here? Clearly she wasn't with Rob anymore so why would she possibly be back? Emily walked straight through the office to Rob's office. Kim, who was still Rob's assistance, looked up from her computer with a very confused look.
"You have to make an appointment" Kim stated leaning back in her seat making Emily smile a little.
"I have an appointment" Emily replied running her hand through her hair. Kim frowned as she looked through the booking list.
"No you don't" Kim said smugly making Emily roll her eyes a little as the large office door opened and Rob stood there.
"Ah Emily you're here" Rob said looking directly at her with a small smile. "Come through"
"But she doesn't have an appointment and you have Mr Roberts in ten minuets" Kim argued as Emily walked towards Rob.
"I took care of this appointment myself. Just tell him I'm running behind" Rob shrugged opening the door wider for Emily to step through into the office.
"Honestly, she isn't even your girlfriend anymore and she gets priority" Kim mumbled but both Rob and Emily heard before Rob closed the door behind them. Emily glanced around the office noticing nothing had changed, everything was exactly the same. It was still over sized and well kept. Emily sat in the large grey seat opposite Rob on his big black chair.
"So how are you?" Rob asked whilst he rummaged through some papers. Emily looked down at her finger nails, picking them a little.
"Yeah not bad thanks, you?" Emily asked glancing up at him. Rob looked over at her and nodded a little.
"As good as I can be" Rob smiled a little before he stacked up some papers and placed them to the side before folding his hands together and looking up at Emily. "So you no loner want the studio?"
Emily took a deep breath in and sat up a little straighter. "No, it isn't really paying" Emily answered making Rob nod a little. "Plus I think it's time to move on ya know. Change is good"
Rob chuckled a little as he typed on his Mac. "So what will you be doing instead?" Rob asked looking over at Emily who was already looking at him. Emily rubbed her lips together and shrugged.
"I have no clue" She answered honestly. Rob smiled a little before he moved over to the printer and picked up a printed piece of paper.
"So you're back to being a clueless teenager?" Rob asked from the printer which was only a slide on the chair away from his desk. Emily frowned a little because she didn't know if he was hinting at something to do with Calum or the fact that she didn't know what she wanted to do.
"I guess so" Emily replied as Rob placed a piece of paper in front of her on the desk.
"Okay so this is just something you have to sign to say that you no longer want to rent and that you have agreed to no longer use the building" Rob explained briefly. "You can read through it if you want" he offered leaning back in his chair and folding his arms across his chest. Emily picked up the piece of paper and began to read over it.
