The six weeks had flown by and the American leg of the tour was over, meaning that the whole tour was over. The band was having a break, mainly from tour they would still be writing and producing songs. They needed to have down time after tour continuously for five years.
Emily had received a text from Calum to come to his Sydney apartment because of an emergency. They hadn't seen each other since he had been back in Sydney, but he'd only been back a day and a half.
Emily twiddled her keys around her fingers as she stood in the elevator up to Calum's apartment. The door dinged and she stepped out, knocking on the white door that was Calum's front door. It opened in seconds and Emily sure what to be a very stressed out Calum. He opened the door t let Emily in. Her nose instantly scrunched.
"Why the fuck does it smell like dog shit in here?" Emily asked cringing at the sent. Calum gave her a small smile.
"Well I made have made a new purchase" Calum said slowly making Emily's eyes grow wide.
"You brought a dog?!" Emily asked in shock making Calum nod slowly. There was a sound of clattering objects from the living room making Emily look over towards the room. Calum sighed before walking into his mess of a living room and opening the door. A small Pitball puppy looking up at them.
"Isn't he cute?" Calum asked smiling at Emily as she looked around the messy living room. She hated mess, with a passion. She was also more of a cat person but the dog was cute.
"Yeah" Emily agreed "Was this the emergency?"
"No I need help with him" Calum said bending down to pick up the baby animal.
"I don't know anything about dogs" Emily said looking at the small dog who she knew wouldn't be going anywhere any time soon.
"Yeah but your good with children" Calum said slowly holding the dog in once arm as he rubbed its tummy.
Emily blinked at Calum a few times "Dogs and Children aren't the same"
"Sure they are, they sleep, eat and poo" Calum shrugged making Emily raise an eyebrow at him. Emily laughed a little as she crossed her arms over her chest.
"They aren't the same Calum" Emily said smiling as she shock her head at him.
"Would you rather have a kid?" Calum asked "Because that can be arranged"
"No" Emily said bluntly as Calum put the dog on the floor. He instantly ran over to the sofa and tried to jump on.
"Awh Buzz buddy" Calum cooed as he walked over to him and placed him on the sofa. Emily's mouth hung open, but it was curved slightly into a smile.
"You called him Buzz?" She asked laughing a little.
"Yeah I want another one called woody" Calum said not looking up at Emily as he petted his new child.
"Can that be a cat?" Emily asked hope in her voice. Calum's head shot up.
"Woah hold on" Calum said "Do you prefer cats to dogs?"
"Yes?" Emily answered slowly. A loud gasp left Calum's mouth making Emily chuckle a little.
"Don't listen to her Buzz" Calum whispered covering the puppy's ears. "You know where the door is"
Emily rolled her eyes before walking over to Calum and wrapping her arms around his waist pressing her cheek to his back.
"You can't hug me over" Calum said as he let Buzz lick his hand.
"Sure I can" Emily mumbled into his back. Calum smiled a little before he turned to face her. Emily looked up at him. "Told you" She smiled as Calum pecked her lips.
