Chapter 5: Her Real Answer to Us

Maki sits on her chair and rest her face on her hands. She just doesn't want her friends and lover to see her became a doctor at young age.

"I hate this thing" Maki cursed.

Within a minute a nurse that assist Nico came inside.

"Dr. Nishikino?... Y-You have a patient"

Maki quickly rubbed her eyes then she nodded. She stands and goes out as the nurse assist her to Maki's patient.

".. I.. don't know what I'm doing anymore.." Maki thought and her eyes soften.

The others got recovered but Nico was not. Nozomi was comforting her but her face made a worried look.

"I hope it won't get worst" she thought.

"She was a licensed doctor at her young age? That's kinda... weird though" Umi said while resting her chin on her hand.

"It's getting late now. Nico, are you going home now?" Eli said while looking at her.

Nico shook her head and she looks up at them.

"No, not yet. I'll just go back tomorrow" Nico said with a faint smile.

"Oh. Okay then, we'll be going now. Take a good rest and don't forget to eat" Eli said as if she was talking like a mother.

Nozomi giggled quietly at it, thinking it was cute for Eli.

"Yeah. Take care" Nico said, still having the smile.

The others of them wave and closes the door. Now, Nico is alone at her room. She look beside her and saw a food they bought. She gets and opens it. She saw it was macaroons. Nico smiled.

"I wonder how she's doing now. It makes me remember.. Maki was also giving me this before.."

(9:00 PM)

Maki came inside Nico's room. Nico got awake by the sound of the door, she saw Maki standing there.

"Sorry if I awake you. How are you feeling?" Maki asked with her usual blank look.

"I-I'm fine" Nico answered, still sleepy.

"I thought you're gone home this day. It may be possible that you decided to go home tomorrow huh"

Nico nodded. She looked down before she could speak.

"Y-You?... H-How are you feel..ing?" Nico asked stuttered.

Maki raises her eyebrow. She looks away while playing with the strand of her hair.

"W-Well.."

Nico looked up because she noticed Maki was stuttering. She saw Maki was blushing and her action. It made Nico giggled because she found it cute.

"I-It's not like... b-but to be honest... I-I feel comfortable w-when I'm going t-to check and s-seeing you" Maki was completely blushing.

"T-That's all! Y-You can go back to your home tomorrow bye!" Maki quickly got out the room.

Nico was still smiling and she sighs. She layed back and fell fast asleep.

(TIME SKIPPED!! 8:34 PM)

Nico was already getting ready. She sighs as she gets her things. Nico look at the room behind her before she leaves it.

But when she closed the door and look in front, she got bump with the person in front of her that made them yelp.

Nico touches her nose "Hey! Watch ou-!" She stopped when she looked up to the person. It was Maki. The two blushed and looked at the opposite way.

"I-I was about to check you if you're going to get ready but I guess you're already are" Maki said.
