"The Dark Side of the Force is the pathway to many abilities some consider to be...unnatural."

Unaware of her own heart beating or the rise and fall of her chest, she drifted into a semi-consciousness. The drone of the droids outside was as good as a soothing lullaby she could get. Her hand moved to her forehead and she looked down upon Kylo, who was still struggling to stand up after she removed her foot from his chest.

The voice was unexpected. It was low, with an agreeable trace of huskiness and with a hint of more power than the frail body would suggest - not a kind voice but not a wicked one either. Inside her mind were plenty of things but when she heard Amar's distinct voice, everything went quiet. The buzz in her head became a low vibration while memories of Amar speaking captured her thoughts. "Your first step to the dark side of the force."

She blinked twice, watching Kylo stand up. He wasn't angry, in fact, his face was oddly calm. It was oddly calm because her walls had been left defenseless and he saw everything that was going on inside her mind, just like when they were younger. She didn't move away, she let him read her like an open book while she stared at him in complete awe. For one moment, it felt like they were back at the Jedi Temple all those years ago, excitedly training to become Jedi Knights.

"Say something." She suddenly pleaded.

"What do you want me to say?" His voice was deep with sorrow and determination. "I'm not coming back to the light side Elara, I can't. But now that you are here, in front of me, my thoughts are clouded."

She closed her eyes and breathed in his scent. "I'd rather die than see Bellamy become your apprentice."

All too quickly, he replied. "That can be arranged." His sudden false reality was coming back into clear view once more and he was soon building up with rage.

Taken back, Elara raised her hand and slapped him. The impact was stronger than she intended but it was worth it. He stood, completely agape at what had just happened. He was Kylo Ren! How could anyone disrespect him? She could...because she had every reason in the galaxy to do so.

Elara closed her eyes and tried to calm herself down. Her heart was racing and her lungs felt like they had been ripped apart raw. She inhaled through her nose and exhaled blood from her mouth, sighing in defeat.

"One day I'll see the stars." The beautiful brunette sang, looking up at the vast Tatooine horizon. "Geil won't keep me here forever!"

Elara's eyes snapped open and she felt a horrible disturbance in the force. She leant over and spat out the remaining pool of blood. Again, she closed her eyes and focused, ignoring Kylo standing right in front of her.

"I'll see the entire galaxy!"

"I'll come with you!" Elara replied, who was not much older than seven in this flashback.

"Don't be silly Lara!" The beautiful girl shook her head, mirroring Elara's face perfectly. "You'll be a Jedi by the time I escape."

"I'll come back for you Kalila." Elara climbed onto her sisters lap. "You'll be free by the time I'm a Jedi."

"You won't need me when your a Jedi Lara and that's okay."

Elara snapped out of her dream and fell on all fours. She immediately pressed her cheek onto the cold ground and heaved in a breath. Kalila Jane would not come into play now, Elara had too many things to do.

"Elara?" Kylo went to grab hold of her.

"Don't touch me!" She seethed, looking at him grimly. "I want my lightsaber back." She growled, looking him up and down, hoping to catch a glimpse of her saber. "My lightsaber which thoroughly represents which side I'm on."
