Joe x Reader: "Didn't You Take Your Medicine??!"

It's been a horrible day. Depression's a bitch, somedays worse than others. Today was worse than normal.

You lay on your side, the coach's normally comforting warmth feeling less welcoming. The remote lays on the other end of the couch, untouched.

You felt... empty. No other word for it. Empty. All alone, your boyfriend Joe filming, nothing to fill the void. You could take your depression pills but why bother? No one cared. It doesn't matter. YOU don't matter.

The sound of the door opening and slamming doesn't phase you. How comes into view, as he takes he jacket off and tosses it on the recliner listlessly. He lowers himself on the other end of the couch with a sigh. He propped his elbow up on the side, eyes shut, rubbing hu a forehead. He finally looks over at you.

"What's wrong with you?" he grunts. You don't answer. He pats your thigh, with no reaction. He stands with a grunt and moved to crouch down in front of your face.

"Baby... what's wrong?" he asks softly, reaching a hand to caress your face. Your eyes open, and the tears threaten to spill over. His eyes widen, and he takes your face in his hands, stroking your cheeks.

"Baby! Are you okay?? Didn't you take your medicine??" he says in a tone so gentle it itself makes you wanna cry. He gathers you up in his arms, while you break down in his arms.

He soothes you, holding you to him. The occasional "shh.." is heard while he smooths your hair. You full through your sobs. After a while of this, your breathing slows as you begin to hiccup.

"I'm s-sorry Joey.. I-I'm so n-needy.." you stammer before he cuts you off.

"I love you. I will always take care of you." he says firmly. You move into a straddling position. You study his kind, caring blue eyes filled with love and concern. You kiss the tip of his nose, making around his eyes crinkle amusement.

"I love you too Joey."
