It's been 2 hours watching bet and their dad still not back. I had to get home and rest for school tomorrow.
I silently picked Sonny up and walked up stairs. I was lowkey afraid if he would wake up and cry. Getting upstairs i didn't know where his room was.
"You looking for his room?" Odell asked behind me.
"Yeah, where is it?" I turned around and questioned. He didn't reply just walked closer to me.
"Let me see him." He had his arms out waiting patiently. I gave him Sonny and folded my arms
"Thanks." I smiled. He left to bring Sonny to his room. I waited for him to come back so he can lock up and I can go.
"Aye Ari I could walk you home. I'm sure you don't want to walk by yourself at night." He came back in the hallway with his hands in his pocket.
"Ight that's cool." He nodded and walked down the stairs.
Faking like a gentleman he open the door for me and let me walk out first. "I wish you was like this at school." Odell just laughed and smile.
"You a negative lah girl. You know that?" He laughed.
"Not negative just real."I smiled making him laugh. "So are you excited to be Prom king?" I questioned.
"I didn't even win yet." He smiled and looked at me.
"I know that ,but I have faith you will win." I looked down. I think we probably passed up my house ,but I wasn't tripping.
"I'm honored so honored you believe in me." He held his heart and gasped.
"Aww shut up and just answer the question." I laughed and pushed him.
"Yeah It would be cool if I won. Knowing I'm gonna have the most beautiful girl on side me make it a real bonus also." He looked down at me. Awkward ..
"Who's running for Queen?"
"A lot of bitches."
"Can't say they name Odell?" I laughed
"Yeah,but I'll take all fucking day. These girls been talking about this since 9th grade now being seniors it's the most important thing."
"That's what's important to them?" I raised my eyebrow.
"Mhmmm." He nodded. I was lowkey shocked how girls was worrying about being a queen for only a night and getting a plastic crown.
"Wow that's stupid." I laughed.
"And how is that?" He asked stopping in front my house. When we got here felt like I've walked around the whole neighborhood.
"For girls to be worrying about a plastic crown instead of grades or college."I looked up at him.
"I see where you coming from big dog. You should run tho try something new." He smiled and started backing up.
"I really don't want to." I whined.
"Alright when you see me up there with a new girl don't be jealous." He smiled.
"I won't!" I rolled my eyes.
"Your lying."
"I'm not! I hope the girl you like will win." I smiled.
"She will trust me I have faith." He did quotes fingers around faith. After doing that he turned around and just walked off. I guess he was saying faith like I said about him?
"Whatever." I just ignored how confused I was and walked inside. One day I'll understand Odell ,one day....
