The others returned from the Moors a few hours later, but this part isn't about them. This is about why us trolls are in hiding. About what everything was like before the Isle of the Lost.
You see, a few years ago, after Elsa unfroze Arendelle, Anna's heart wasn't frozen, and Kristoff became Ice Master of Arendelle, I wrote The History of the Isle of the Lost, telling the truth of the island. King Beast was furious. As punishment for my book, he sent Elsa and my dear friends, Tinker Bell and Vidia, to the Isle. He erased everyone's memories.
King Beast even rewrote history. He made it so that Good Queen Grimhelde, otherwise known as the Evil Queen, purposely gave Snow White a poisoned apple. When Queen Grimhelde gave Snow White the apple, she had no idea it was poisoned.
He made Jafar seem like he was trying to get Jasmine to marry him, when in reality, it was the complete opposite. He was trying to get Jasmine to like Aladdin, but kept messing up.
Cruella, my sweet Cruella, she was trying to return the dalmatians, not steal them. The originals ran away. Other dalmatians followed.
And Maleficent. She did put the curse on Aurora, but what people don't know is that she tried to reverse it. Her kiss was what awoke Sleeping Beauty, not Prince Phillips.
Not only did King Beast take away all of Auradon's memories, but he also took away all of the Isle of the Lost's memories. He also sided with an enemy that tried to kill Elsa, though I'm not sure if it was Hans or the Duke of Weasletown.
In any case, this story isn't as you've heard. Now, to why we're hiding.
Us trolls are hiding because we stole everyone's memories. Everyone's except for Belle's.
These four kids, the keeper of the book, the banished prince, the princess of darkness, and the new king, they're our salvation, or the cause of Auradon's destruction.
Not to put any pressure on them.
