Stretching wildly as a palace cat would, I rubbed the slumber from my eyes, then grinned when I noticed the LED light on my phone flashing blue. Indicating that I had received a text message.
10:00 am. Bae- Gooooood morning to yooooou, my beautiful queen. I couldn't wait for night to be over, so I could spend another day with you. To bask in your infectious smile.
10:01 am. Me- Good morning to you my Romeo.
10:02 am. Bae- Come outside. :D
Getting up from bed, I walked over to my window that over looked the front of the house, then smiled when I saw Sherwin leaning against his car. Backing away before he could see the bird's nest on my head, I skipped into the bathroom to groom myself.
"Where are you off too?" My mother asked, knocking on the door then peeping her inside. What was the point of knocking?
"Um...to go see Tokyo." I replied, spitting out my toothpaste and sent a silent prayer to God for lying.
"Mhm...So who's that little thug outside my house?" She asked, with her hand on her hip.
"What thug?" I asked.
"Some skinny ole thing, leaning on a car. Covered in tattoos looks like he's just up to no good."
"Well, you know me mom. I wouldn't be hanging around someone like that." I replied, forcing a smile.
"Yeah I know. My sweet innocent baby." She replied, walking all of the way into the bathroom then kissed my head.
"I have to get ready now mom." I said, gently shooing her out.
"Okay, okay. I'll go tell that heathen to get lost." She smiled, walking out. As soon as I heard her shut my bedroom door, I dived to my phone then sent Sherwin a quick message telling him to quickly leave and meet me around the corner. A few seconds later, I heard his engine start and car skid off, right when my mother opened the front door. Sighing, I dashed back into the bathroom, knocking my ankle on the metal part of the bed frame. Swearing silently, I closed my eyes as pain engulfed me. Why did that always hurt so much?

Sneaking out of the house, I ran down the block and around the corner to where Sherwin's car parked underneath a tree. Tapping on the passenger side window, he smiled as he unlocked the car.
"What's up baby. Why couldn't I have picked you up from your house?" He asked, leaning over for a kiss. Granting one to him, I sighed then closed my eyes.
"It's my mom. She doesn't really want me hanging out with you. Well not you personally. But thugs." I replied, embarrassed.
"Thug? She doesn't even know me." He replied gripping the steering wheel.
"Yeah I know...but you kind of look like one. My little baddie." I smiled, placing my hand on his lap.
"I don't like being judged by how I look man." He replied, brushing my hand away.
"Don't be mad at me. It's her, that has a problem." I replied, folding my arms across my chest.
"Awe babe. I'm sorry. I ain't mean to take it out on you. Gimmie another kiss." He replied, puckering his lips up.
"No." I replied, turning my head towards the window. A few seconds later, I felt a strong hand grab my face from under my chin then turn my head. Without having any reaction time, his lips were on mine. Butterflies, swans, doves, and the whole damn winged kingdom, fluttered around in my stomach. Smiling, I looked up at him from underneath my ashes.
