"Dirty money comes with Demons. -Cymplicity"

Content on trying to get some work done, I scrunched up my forehead as I went over my business plans for the week. Mason and I have been sleeping in separate bedrooms since I caught him cheating on me. On the contrary of what he believes, I am not really upset about the whole ordeal. I had Sherwin now to make me happy.

After another thirty minutes of constant typing and date checking, I decided to step outside for a breath of fresh air. Opening the balcony door, I allowed the wind to guide me out there. Smiling to myself, I waved at the men who were down below working on the lawn.

"What are you doing?" I heard a voice say behind me. Turning my head to the side, I peered from the corner of my eye to the intruder who disrupted my peace.

"Minding my business, Mason." I snapped, turning my head back forward.

"Yasm-" He started.

"Mason what do you want?"

"It has been a week baby. I seriously miss you." He said placing a hand on the small of my back.

"Is that all?" I asked getting ready to walk away from him.

"No it's not. I wanted to say again that I was sorry and want to make our marriage work. We said for better and worst right? Please do not give up on us Yasmine. I made an appointment with a therapist and marriage counsellor. I want to make us work. I miss you." He said getting on his needs, pleading with me with his eyes. I could tell that he really meant it, so I nodded my head.

Glancing up, I noticed Sherwin watching us from my house office doorway. Something dark was lingering over his facial expression.

With Mason's hand in mine, I observed the therapist silently. All that could be heard in the room were the periodical ticking of the wall clock and her pen scribbling notes on her notebook. Clearly my throat, I shifted in my seat.

"Are you uncomfortable Mrs.Royals'?" She asked. Taking in her thin legs that were crossed, I met her penetrating gaze.

"No I am not. I would really like to get this over with however." I stated.

"Your marriage is not worth putting in time for?" She asked. Shaking my head, I looked over to Mason.

"I did not say that." I stated.

"You sound defensive. There is no need for that, I am only trying to help you two form a bridge back to one another." Sighing, I ignored her statement.

"Mason. Why do you think you two are here today?" She asked, giving him her full attention. Looking at him as well, I raised an eyebrow.

"We are here today, because I have a drug addiction and almost cheated on my wife." He stated looking down, releasing my hand. Damn right, he should be ashamed of himself.

"Why did you turn to drugs and infidelity?" She asked him. After a moment of thinking, he finally answered with,

"I am stressed all of the time. Before...when I was younger running my company was hard work but enjoyable. Now I have so much pressure to keep putting out good work. My wife and I barely have quality time together, I just wanted to feel wanted in other ways than business related." Bullshit.

"Very good Mr.Royals'."

"Please, Mason."

"Okay, very good Mason. Now Mrs.Royals' how does that make you feel to know that your husband does not feel wanted?"

"Confused."

"Why is that?" She asked, writing down what I said.

"He has never communicated with me about this stressed issue before. I thought everything was fine work wise. If he wanted more bedroom time, all he had to do was ask."

"Mhm. Interesting. How does his infidelity make you feel?" She asked.

"How do you think I feel?" I asked, snapping. Writing that down as well, she nodded her head and smiled.

"Let's play a game, shall we? Mason you be Yasmi-"

"Mrs.Royals'." I said cutting her off. We were not in any means on that type of level for her to address me by my first name.

"Ok. Mrs.Royals', you be Mason." She replied, finishing off her sentence. Taking a deep breath, Mason and I faced one another.

"Ooo Sherwin you can stay in my husband's house even though you're a dirty street boy, that does not belong and my husband is against it. " Mason said getting right into the dirt, taking me by surprise.

"I can't do this. You blame everyone for your problems instead of facing them. The problem is not your work stress, me not being enough for you anymore or Sherwin in the house. The problem is you Mason. You are a drug addict. Bottom line. Do not forget that you came from the streets yourself." I said getting up and storming out of the office.

I do not know what overcame me, but as soon as he gritted out Sherwin's name, I felt the need to attack him. No one was going to speak badly about him in my presence.

***

"Where are you going?" I asked Sherwin as I pulled up to the estate's gate. He had a bag on his back and looked bothered.

"Somewhere." He replied, letting the small door at the side of the gate slam shut behind him.

"Let me give you a ride." I offered.

"Aren't you 'pose to be at some therapist meeting with your man?" He asked clenching his jaw. I noticed Robert watching from his post and shook my head.

"Sherwin get in the car so we can talk." I said firmly. Shaking his head, he made his way over to the door and slammed it shut. Backing up, I headed away from the manor.

"Talk." He said putting his bag down in between his legs. I noticed the faint scent of weed but did not question him about it.

"I only went to the meeting to hear him out." I said, glancing over to Sherwin.

"Fuh WHAT though? I thought you and I were going to work on something."

"We are baby. But divorce is a process." I can not believe that I just said that. Could I possibly divorce Mason after everything we have been through, for the man that put me through most of the rough patches Mason had to fix?

"Divorce? You fahreal baby?" Sherwin grinned.

"Yeah. I have been thinking about it a lot. For now I just have to go through the motions, seeing therapists and such. Making it seem like I fought for our marriage before calling it off." I said nodding my head.

"Or I could just kill him." Sherwin suggested with that same dark expression on his face.

"No no. None of that is needed. Just be patient with me. In the meanwhile we can sneak off to hotels together, take my private jet and go places." I said nervously.

"Sounds dope. You know I love you right?" He asked, still grinning.

"Yeah I know. Now where do you want me to drop you off at?" I asked.

"Um. Just stop the car here. I had someone picking me up already." He replied looking down at  his bag. Stopping the car, I allowed him to get out, no more questions asked. I already pieced two and two together.

"Just be careful." I stated.

"Always do." He replied, kissing my lips then leaving. Shaking my head, I turned the car around and headed back towards the manor. What if this is a glimpse into my future? Leaving my stable life to help a man do crime? I have noticed him with nice things. I hope he knows that dirty money comes with demons.
