Chapter 1

I.. Erika, is going to tell you all about my daily life so,here is where it all begins. At the age of 18, we (my family) move to NY to create a better living and a better future for me. We also moved because of family problems. The view from my house is absolutely beautiful. We live near the coast so we could go to the beach regularly, but I don't feel like its home here.

Every night, I look outside my window and hope for one day that I would find someone that would cares about me. Everyday and every night I wished for this..but it just wouldn't come. My parents isn't bad they just let me do what I want which is good but I need someone to help me and show me what's good and what's bad..I just need that someone by my side..

It was my first day of school and I think it was going great but not after getting lost on my first lesson. I said to myself "ok Erika..just stay calm and find the reception" and from that point I still couldn't find the reception until a girl came along to me and asked "Hi, are you lost?"

I said to myself in my head "Bitch..do I look like I'm lost..do I look like I need help!?" And I replied to her saying "yes,I'm lost and I need help getting around the school." Then she grabbed my hand and show me around the school.

We stopped near the hall,where there were a class going on. She told me that down the hallway I could find the reception, then she left... The bell has rang and I hurried to the reception but a boy has stopped in front of my way.

He stood in front of me with those manly body; beautiful bright blue eyes, brown hair and the muscular muscles. Wearing a black shirt and black skinny rip jeans.

Without me getting my head lost from where I'm trying to go "Excuse me I need to get through" I said, but it seems like he isn't responding so I repeated myself..and all he said was "the only way you need to get through is with me." I stood there, standing still, not knowing what to say. I shoved him to the side and walk my way down the hall to the reception.

Finally, I found the reception and received all the information that I needed. The receptionist gave me a whole loads of books and folders. I thought to myself "she must hate me" I thanked her and left the room. There's a map of the school that she gave me and I could easily find my way around the school.

So..I'd skipped the first and second lessons and now its break time..and all I gotta do is make some friends.

Which apparently isn't working out..

How great.

I found a table and got myself sat down with no one. Surprise, surprise. This is when I thought that I'm going to be the nerdy one in the school like all movies we had watch, there's always that one nerdy girl, with no friends.

Not long after that, I saw a group of girls went towards me. They all sat with me on the chairs. "Rachel is my name" she says. "I'm Erika" I replied.

She gave me the dirty look "So, you think you're so pretty and you can just sit wherever you want?" From then on I thought than I was about to get beaten up by her. I sat there speechless until the boy that I crashed into earlier, stood up for me. "Shut it blondy...just if you're the popular one doesn't mean you own the school properties!" He shouted. He grabbed my arm and dragged me with him to another table.

"Thanks" I said, but he seems like he's not in the mood to talk. We sat there in silence. "I'm Jack" he finally said.

"I'm Erika" I replied.

And there goes the silence again. The bell has rang and it's time for us to go to class. He left me without saying anything, and so did I.

Looking on my schedule and it says Maths..hmmmm..this is going to be interesting.

When I reached the classroom, I sat myself on a chair near the corner and without knowing what's happening Jack suddenly appeared near my side. "Hey, mind if I sit here?"he asked..

"Umm, sure I guess?" I replied. Then, there come Rachel along with her friends. Rachel came to our desks and starts flirting with Jack asking if he wants to go out tonight and Jack replied "Sorry,I've made plans with Erika tonight." After hearing that, I sat there thinking, uhhh no you didn't ask me out or did I just had a 30 minute amnesia?

Rachel gave me the dirty look again before leaving and pats on Jack's head and whispered "It's ok, maybe another day" From now till the end of the day Jack hasn't spoken to me. All I wanted to know is that are we going out or what?

At the end of the day, I went home walking cuz my house is not that far away from the school, its about 6 blocks away, I walked alone I mean not after Jack came from behind my back and scared me. I fell down on my arms and had a little scratch, then I looked at him in confusion. His eyes shrunk but he lend me his hand and helped me up. We continued our way home without a word spoken.

Finally. Home. I looked around to thank Jack for accompanying me but he'd disappeared. I looked around for a bit and found him standing on the neighbor's doorstep.

He's my neighbor.
