So the full title of this chapter is: "Hey I Just Met You, And This Is Crazy, But I Think I Love You , So Live With Me Maybe?" but Wattpad wouldn't let me use it because it's too long. Darn.

CHAPTER 7:
----Kellin's POV----
Vic and I hid out on the football field for the whole day. I hated what this kid was doing to me! My life felt like a fucking movie. I met this kid only 48 hours ago, and he was living with me, we'd gone on a date, I'd seen him beaten by his mother, we'd kissed about a billion times, we shared a room, and I'd already almost lost him. I always thought I'd sail through senior year and get the fuck out of this town and go to Berkley, but now I was subconsciously questioning any future that didn't involve Vic.
"Vic?" His face was buried in the crook of my neck and he was sitting in my lap with his legs wrapped around my back. I had my hands settled in the small of his back.
"Hm?" He said, muffled and soft, his sudden breath hot on my skin.
"When I said maybe I should take you home, it wasn't me trying to get rid of you. Jack was right, it could be very bad for both of us if some nosy person called the police and they barged in to find you in my bed half naked. I love living with you but...."
Suddenly his head shot up, a twinkling in his eyes. "Kellin!" He yelled. "I just had the best idea ever! What if someone called the cops on my mom and we could prove she beats me and Mike, then you could adopt me! You're legally an adult, so you could!"
"Whoa, whoa, Vic. Slow down. Number one, where would Mike go? We couldn't just leave him. And number two, I'm sure I wouldn't qualify as an adoptive parent. Not to mention, don't you think it would be frowned upon if you were technically dating your adoptive father?"
His expression fell a little, but I could still tell that he thought it was a fucking idea from the gods.
"Buuuut... we could give your mom a reason to let you live with me. I mean, I could support you. I'm sure you're not that high maintenance. You're getting a free ride to college right?"
He nodded. "Mmhmm. Full ride to Berkley starting in two years," he said, smiling with pride.
"Hey!" I heard a voice yell behind us. I turned to see the old janitor. He was always nice enough to me, mopping up my blood off the bathroom floors when it was needed. He gave me a handkerchief one time to wipe my bleeding nose with. "I hate to disturb you boys, but we're doing some maintenance on the field so if you could exit please?"
"Oh, yeah, sure. We're sorry," I apologized. I put my hands under Vic's ass and stood up with him still wrapped around me. I carried him to the car and carefully set him in the passenger seat as if I could break him. I went to the driver's seat and drove us to Vic's house. I drove slowly and as we neared his house, he started tapping his feet and his fingers.
I parked next to the curb and got out. Vic was out before I could open his door, and was already running towards me. He threw his arms around my neck, burying his face in my chest. I wrapped my arms around the middle of his back, rubbing it softly, with my face in his hair that smelled like my shampoo.
"We'll be alright, Vic. I won't let her hurt you," I promised.
"It's not me I'm worried about."
We broke apart and I walked up to the front door, him trailing closely behind me. I took a deep breath, and knocked as forcefully as I could muster. Mike opened the door, confused to see me until Vic popped out from behind me. He smiled and invited us in, giving Vic a big hug.
He sat us at one end of the dining room table, closest to the side door. He left the room, then returned a few minutes later, pushing their mother into a chair. Her hair was neatly brushed and her clothes were normal, just jeans and a t-shirt. At just the sight of her, Vic grabbed my thigh under the table. I clutched his hand and rubbed my thumb along the top, trying to give off soothing and reassuring feelings that I didn't have.
"Mrs. Fuentes, I just want to talk to you," I said. She was scowling at me from across the table, with Mike's hands on her shoulders. "I don't know if you know, but Vic has been living with me in my apartment for the past couple days and-"
"I'm aware," she interrupted, "although I don't approve. I trust nothing went on between you two, or the police will be involved."
"I'm not going to lie to you, ma'am, Vic and I did go on a date and we did kiss, but that's as far as it went. We didn't, uh... we didn't have sex if that's what you're asking. Vic and I have kind of unofficailly started dating, but I assure you, everything is legal until I turn 20."
"Nothing else went on? Nothing? Are you sure? I'm being really fair here, son. I'm letting you in my house to speak with me, right now is the time to be completely and totally honest."
"We do sleep together in my bed. The first night, he came in at one o'clock, shaking and tearing up from a nightmare and I let him sleep with me. We do cuddle... and we both sleep in our boxers but we never get intimate. We sleep together is all."
Her nostrils flared and little, but she kept her cool mostly. "So why are you here? If there wasn't some catch, surely you would've just dropped him off and left." She clasped her hands under her chin and tilted her head, trying to be intimidating.
"We, Vic and I, have come up with a... compromise, persay. We think that it'd be good for him to live with me. And before you say anything, I can totally support him. I am going to college next fall, but I'm going to Berkley so I can still live at home with him and then when he goes to Berkley too, we'll still be together and I can look after him. I have a two bedroom apartment so if you're worried about us sleeping together, we don't have to."
I let the proposal hang in the air while she processed it. When I thought she was going to contradict me, she turned to Vic. "Why do you feel this is better than living with me? I'm the one that gave you life and brought you into this world..."
They connected eyes and he said, "Because I'm afraid. I'm afraid if I keep living here you'll be the one to take me out of this world too. I'm tired of being your punching bag everyday. Kellin treats me so well, and I feel loved with him."
Suddenly, without a hint of warning, she flew into a flaming rage. She lunged forward, batting Mike's hands away. She wrapped her thin fingers around Vic's throat, pushing her thumbs into his trachea. I lunged forward and started trying to pry her fingers away from him, but she was strong. Mike was there in a fraction of a second, arms around her waist, dragging her away.
I knelt by Vic, trying to help him breathe. He was gasping heavily and his hands had replaced hers on his neck.
Mike ran back into the room without their mom, but I could hear her screaming from upstairs.
"YOU FUCKING FAGGOTS! GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY HOUSE! IF I EVER SEE EITHER OF YOU EVER AGAIN I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU! I DON'T GIVE A SHIT WHERE YOU GO BUT GET THE HELL OUT OF MY HOUSE!!!" She cried.
"Vic, you need to get your stuff. All of it. I'm afraid Mom really means that." They both ran out of the room and came back fifteen minutes later with three duffel bags and a few pairs of shoes. Mike pushed us out the door after giving us both hugs.
We loaded Vic's shit in my car and I drove away as fast as the law would allow me. Vic cried the whole time.
"I'm sorry, Vic. I-"
"Don't ever talk about her again. She's the past... You're my future." And he sealed the sentiment with a soft kiss, salty with the tears running over his lips.
