Maki entered her house, sinking onto the living room couch in exhaustion. Her father appeared, standing over her.
"Did you tell them that you are leaving this country tomorrow?" Maki's father asked.
Maki nodded, glaring up at him with a piercing gaze.
"Yes. Are you happy that you finally forced me into this troublesome situation?"
Her father stood straight. "It's not that I'm happy. Because you are my daughter, and you are growing up, I just forced you to do this because I want you to stop and quit that idol group you joined, it's silly and immature" he answered.
Maki stood up from the couch.
"I see. Well, I only accepted this because you threatened to break my precious thing. And listen to me, when I'm gone, don't you dare ruin or tear apart my friends. If you dare do that, I will not forgive you, ever. Do you understand?" Maki warned, fixing him with a deadly glare before walking toward her room.
She started packing her clothes, essentials, and everything she would need for the airport. While she was packing, a soft knock came at the door.
"Come in," Maki said.
Her mother entered. "Maki, are you truly okay with this?" she asked.
"Yeah," Maki answered simply.
"I'm sorry, Maki. I couldn't stop your father about this. I tried to reason with him, but he was set on doing this," her mother said remorsefully.
Maki looked at her. "It's okay, Mama. Thank you, you don't need to go that far."
Her mother came closer, her expression gloomy.
"How about your friends? Are they okay with this?" her mother asked.
Maki jolted at the question. The sight of her members crying, and Nico chasing her and kneeling at the gate, flashed violently in her mind. Tears instantly appeared in Maki's eyes and slid down her cheeks. She looked down to hide them, but her mother saw.
Maki's mother hugged her softly. "It's okay, Maki. Don't cry now, my dear," she said, gently wiping Maki's tears.
Maki clenched her teeth. "I'm such a... liar, Mama," she confessed.
"Why do you say that? You haven't lied to us," her mother said.
"I'm such a big liar... I promised them I would always stay by their side. But when this troublesome situation came... I just broke and ruined all of it," Maki said, sobbing into her mother's embrace.
Maki's mother patted her head to calm her. "Don't cry, my dear. You can make up for your lies in the future. In the right time, I'm sure they will forgive you," she reassured her.
Maki stopped crying, comforted by her mother's words, and smiled up at her. "I feel better now, Mama. Thanks for always cheering me up."
Maki's mother smiled back sweetly. "Now, finish preparing the things you need for tomorrow."
Maki nodded and quickly finished packing. Feeling exhausted, she yawned. "Goodnight, Mama. I'm going to sleep."
"Goodnight to you too, my dear. Sweet dreams," her mother replied, kissing Maki's forehead before leaving the room. Maki quickly fell asleep, the anxieties and worries briefly vanishing from her mind.

Maki woke up in her king-sized bed and went straight to the bathroom for a quick shower. Afterward, she went to the kitchen, grabbed a piece of bread, and spread tomato paste on it. After eating, she changed into her travel clothes. Her father was ready to accompany her to the airport. She shared a farewell hug and kiss with her mother before leaving the house.
