I looked at the map in my hand and began to walk to Foss.  I walked into Foss and had to literally weave my way through the crowds.  There were so many people, and the houses were so close together.  I don't understand how people could stand being packed like this into one area.  I walked around trying to find the mayor's house, when I finally gave up and asked for help.

The woman I asked gave me directions and I happily went on my way.  I cautiously made my way towards the Mayor's house.  I knocked on the door and a woman answered "Is the Mayor here? I'm from Fairy Tail answering his request" I said and she ushered me through the door and up the stairs.

She let me into a room that looked like an office and shut the door behind me.  I didn't get a chance to look at the room, because a man stood up and all I could think was on word "Tall."   He nearly reached the ceiling as he smiled down at me.  "Please have a seat" he said and I sat down.  "Now I read that you have a problem in the Lilac Forest?" I asked.

He nodded and said "Yes, it would seem that a couple of young boys thought to explore and ended up coming back with several suspisous burns.  We asked if they had accedently started a fire and burnt themselves but they claim that something in the woods shot at them causing the burns."  "Why were they so close to Magnolia, if they went to explore here?" I asked.

"We asked and they said that they had gotten lost, understandable since they had no map with them" he said shaking his head.  His blonde hair hid his face for a moment before he pushed them back.  "I don't mean to be terribly rude but I forgot to ask about your guild mark" he said with a wave of his hand.  I showed him my left sholder.  "Now that that's out of the way may we continue?" I asked softly.  "Yes" he said.

"What I still don't understand is why they were out that far.  I don't think boys of any age would wander out into the forest that far from their homes with out a reason" I stated simply watching his reaction.  His blue eyes seemed to widen for a moment, and then his shoulders slumped and he sighed.  He leaned forward and said "It seems as if you've caught me Miss.  The boys were following what they believe was a treasure map."

"A treasure map to what?" I asked curious.  "I don't believe I can trust you with this information.  Not until you promise to keep it to yourself" he said.  "I promise Sir" I said as I looked him straight in the eyes.  "An honest mage" he murmered.  "Yes, now please continue" I said.  "This will take awhile to explain.  Would you care to stay the night and start your journey in the morning?" he asked.

"If it's not to much trouble sir" I said politely.  "Not at all.  Glenda will bring in supper for us if we get caught up in the story" I said.  "Now the story began in anceint times when dragons roamed the earth" he began

I held a cup of water in my hand as I said "So your telling me that somewhere in Lilac Forest there's a treasure chest filled with jewels and gold hidden in the earth.  That there is a reward for the person who finds it.  And that this is legend or story may or may not be true?"  He took a bite of soup in front of him, wiped his mouth and sid "Yes."  "And if I find it on my other mission.  You would like me to bring it back to you.  But what if the legend is a hoax what if that's just what it is.  A story?"  I questioned taking a bite of the dinner roll in front of me.

I saw a sparkle in his eyes as he stood up taking my hand saying "Come with me."  I barely had time to set down everything before he started pulling me out the room.  He dragged me into another room with a safe and I looked away when he put in the combination.

"You are honest to a fault" he joked.  "Better to be honest than thought a liar and a crook" I said and he laughed.  He pulled out a box  and said "If the treasure doesn't exist, care to explain this?"  He opened it and I stared at the jewel within.  "It's as big as my fist!" I exclaimed.  "It was found in Lilac Forest" he said.  "Do you know where?" I asked looking at him.

"Sadly my grandfather died before he could tell me.  He found it when he was a boy and it's been in the family ever since" he said.  "May I?" I asked.  "Be my guest" he said with a smile.  I gently picked it up and gasped when images went through my hands.  "What? What's wrong?" he asked.

I shook my head and said "It's real."  "Well o f course it is" he said exasperated.  "No I mean it's Real, It's uncut, unprocessed.  This jewel is in it's rawest purest form.  Like the raw crystals in a cave or something" I said turning it around in my hands trying to get a better feel of it.  "How do you know?" he asked.  "I'm-I'm an elemental mage.  I can feel the elements in the air.  I can sense the elements in everything from stone to skin.  I can read them like you can read a book" I said.

I put it back in the box and watched him put it back into the safe.  We were in a deep discussion when we made it back to the office.  We discussed the wages of each mission, land several other things.  It was late morning when either of us headed to bed.  When he showed me my room he had handed me a map and bade me goodnight.  I put it in my bag and fell asleep in my clothes.

I woke up in the afternoon and got dressed.  I grabbed my bag and headed down the stairs.  When I saw the Mayor I wished him a wonderful afternoon.  When he asked me if I wanted somethng to eat but I shook my head and said that I'd better be on my way.  Still he rang for Glenda to pack me a small lunch before I left.  I sighed and took it when given to me.  I slowly made my way towards the forest.  I pulled out the map and began to read it.

I kepy my ears open as I cautiously made my way through the forest.  Soon I noticed tracks in the vegitation like something had rushed away as quick as possible.  They were old because it seemed as if the vegetation was trying to fix what was broken.

Soon I came upon some tracks and followed then when I came to this beautiful area.  The trees branches were intertwined over the tracks, creating a tunnel.  I saw patches of sunlight, I heard birds singing, I felt the breeze on my face, and I smelled the many different flowers growing.  I noticed that it seemed like the tracks hadn't been used for a long time.

Suddenly I saw tracks in the moss growing over the metal tracks.  Some of the moss was torn like someone had been running away.  I followed the tracks as far as I could.  I followed them until I came upon a path covered in leaves.  I cautiously made my way down the path.  I came upon a cave.  If I hadn't of been following the path I would've missed it entirely.  It seemed as if the forest was trying to hide it from prying eyes.

I cautiously made my way into the cave, and since it was so dark I used a simple spell and created a floating ball of light.  "Thank you Levy for teachng me this" I murmered and continued to make my way into the cave.  Since I was being so cautious I was able to step out of the way of an energy beam.

Multiple beams shot my way.  I quickly summoned my magic "Sheild of Elements!!" I shouted and the beams hit my "Sheilds."  I summened my elemental fire an shot back as I shouted "Who's There?!!"  "I'm the guardian of this place you are tresspassing.  Trespassers will be killed" Said a voice.  "What are you guarding?!" I shouted.

Instead of answering it fired more shots.  I pushed forward as quietly as possible trying not to alert anyone that I had gone farther in .  Beams shot at me as something flew at me and hit my sheild. "Ow" the thing said.  I quickly pounced on it and saw that it wasn't anything more  than a box.  I summoned my fire and was about to burn it when it said "No Don't!!"

"Why not.  You just tried to kill me" I growled at it.  "Becasue if you don't I'll lead you to the treasure" it exclaimed.  I glared at it and asked "How do I know that your not lying to me?" "There's a room farther into the cave it has a map that leads you to the treasure" it said.  "This isn't a trick is it?" I growled.  "No" it said.  "Okay then" I said and stuffed it into my bag.  "Hey" It said.  "Shut it or I will fry you" I growled and I heard nothing.

I made my way into the cave my magic at the ready should I need it.  Finally I came to a door and opened it.  When nothing shot at me I relaxed and walked in.  I gasped in wonder as I looked around the room.
