We made it to the castle previous led by Isaac's reign, but now hold a new regime led by a barbaric vampire. Spencer was very apprehensive and hesitant of even coming here, but he stood by my side.

"Who are you?" A little girl asked as the door opened revealing her.

"My name is Danielle, is there someone here I could speak to?"

"No werewolves," she said looking at Spencer, "but you are okay...I think?"

"Who's your leader?" Spencer snapped.

I elbowed his stomach. "Be nice,"

"We need answers, like you said, we don't have much time."

We looked back and the girl was gone and was replace with a male vampire, a very scary and angry vampire.

"Hi, I'm Danielle-"

"No wolves." He snapped. "Go, your treaty is on the line."

"I know, I need to speak to Z."

"Filteon, who's at the door? And why the hell do they want to see Z?"

"Tell Z, that there are wolves on the premises Brazer."

"Filteon? Brazer? You knew my family."

He looked confused.

"Yeah, yeah. Markus and Ella. I'm their daughter."

He stepped back about 20 feet. He had the girl instantly in his arms. He looked frightened, almost terrified by my presence alone.

"Daddy?" The girl said softly. "What's wrong?"

"Brazer go get him. Tell him it's true. All of it is true."

"May I ask what's wrong-" I stepped inside and the man called Filteon, back up farther, shoving the girl down towards a corridor.

"Amia, go find your mother an stay with her until this is over, understand?"

"Yes daddy."

"Go."

She trotted down the hall and I was placed in the grand, old Victorian style foyer with Spencer by my side.

Two other men joined Filteon. One who I presume was Brazer, the man from earlier, and Z.

"Who sent you?" Z commanded.

"Ethan."

He face set slightly and stepped to me. Spencer growled at him and he took a side step away from him.

"How is Ella and Markus?"

"They're fine, but I'm here on a different matter completely."

"The Darkness."

"How did you...?"

"It was predicted by Isaac that The Darkness would come and kill us. You were the only indication that of he was being truthfully. We all thought falsely of him and set aside his screeching as nothing more than a scare tactic. Now I could see he was right. The Darkness is here. Come, I want to examine you."

"Like hell you will." Spencer snapped wrapping an arm around me.

"Is this your mate?"

"Spence, it's alright. It's fine they won't hurt me."

"I don't trust vampires."

"You look like your father but have the insatiable attitude like your mother. How are Damon and Rowan?"

He growled deeper and I pulled away.

I stepped up to Z, staring up at his red eyes. Even if in modern times, her resembled more of a late 1800s, early 1900s style. Rugged beard, pageboy hat, suspenders, the whole works. Everyone here seemed to be stuck in time, but Z looked to be the most modern.
