I can see the building where all the eliminated are now. I'm still being dragged along by the guard and the shapeshifting Chosen, but I have a plan. I've already stopped struggling, causing them to subconsciously loosen their grip, and it's saving energy on my part. Saving energy for my escape.

"You've been awfully quiet," the guard comments.

"I just don't want to talk to you," I spit. "You're disgusting."

"Watch your mouth," he hisses, turning me to face him.

"Watch your prisoner," I smirk and send as much of an ice blast as I can possibly manage into the guard's chest.

He yelps and lets go of me, falling to the ground with his hands clutching his chest. I watch him for a split second, before survival instincts take over and I bolt toward the railroad tracks, and towards the hill. The Chosen, I think his name was Jacob, follows after me.

"Is that the only ability you have?" I turn my head and yell. "I've got two."

"I might only have one, but I have more people on my side!"

"Haven't you ever seen a superhero movie? Bad guys always die."

"Didn't your parents ever tell you not to believe everything you see on TV?" He reaches out, catching my shoulder.

"Hey!" Bree's little voice echos from above us. Looking up, I see her flying straight towards us. "Close your eyes, Aria!"

I do, knowing what she's about to inflict upon Jacob. Even with my eyes closed, I can tell there is a blinding light pointed right down at us.

"Arg!" He yells and curses up at the sky, giving me plenty of time to continue running towards the hill. I eventually open my eyes and look back. The light is no longer there, but he still has his eyes squeezed closed.

"Kind of funny that five of the 'rebels' got two abilities," Jen walks over to him, putting air quotes around 'rebels' and smiling.  "How many of you guys have two?"

"One of us," He glares, finally daring to open his eyes. "But look. Here's my backup!" He wildly flings his arm toward the group of people running towards us. Well, one is flying. Only Bree and one other can do that, and it's only Bree who was given the wings as well.

"Here's mine," Jen smiles, and the whole area around us fills with a heavy black fog. Something I knew she could do, but it always was hard for her. All I hear as we escape is coughs.

"Guys, I need to tell you something about what's in that building," I sit down on a rock, facing Bree and Jennifer.

"We know. Nate and Cara told us. Come on, we're going to get them all out of there."

"What about the papers?" I worry. "We need to get them safely out of here! They're evidence!"

"They are," Bree agrees.

"We need to decide what's going to be the most important to get done first," I sigh. "How do you choose whose lives you'd rather risk?"

"You know, maybe no one will die," Jen comforts me.

"People are going to die," I look down. "We can't stop that."

"But we can save as many people as possible." Bree comes over, leans down, and wraps her arms around me.

"I think we should hide the papers and save the eliminated," I bite my lip nervously.

"Okay. Good," Jen says. "Do you have them?"

"Yeah," I laugh lightly. "Those idiots didn't even take my backpack."
