Victor and I stepped back, frightened and surprised. I was so shaken up.

"It's true, sorry." Dr. Roberto said at our questioned faces.

"It can't be.." I said back.

"You can't deny it.." Dr. Roberto said.

"..What..?" Victor said quietly.

"How!?" I exclaimed at Dr. Roberto.

"The Spider King, he called himself, and his snake wife came. I barely escaped them. I was the only one that managed to hide." Dr. Roberto explained.

Dr. Roberto and I hear some kind of a slamming noise and we turned toward where Victor was previously standing. He was gone.

"Victor?" I said.

"In the hut!" Victor yelled sounding like he was crying.

"We must find them," I said with such dedication, that Dr. Roberto leaned back a little and thought for a second.

"It'll be hard though." He replied.

"I don't care! We must find them!" I yelled, getting really loud. Only Dr. Roberto had seen the bad side of me.

"Okay, Okay... Settle down Epic." He said.

So we got ready. And we were on our way.

We went back to the Spider King and Snake Queen's area, passing by the sacred pole. We started down the place where I had been grabbed, finding a little entrance. 

We found Henry and Jenny on the way down the main hallway. They were already in the middle of their escape plan.

"Epic, Dr. Roberto." Henry greeted us. "And who's this?"

"Victor, Nathan's cousin," I replied.

"Cool," Jenny said.

"Well, no time for standing around and talking." Dr. Roberto said a little demandingly.

"Yeah, you guys go, we'll get the others," I said.

We left Jenny and Henry to continue on their way, and we went further into the cave.

"Where would they be..?" Dr. Roberto asked.

"Maybe the jail cells." Victor and I said.

"Hmph." Dr. Roberto grunted.

We went to the jail cells and found Joe, Elesa, Rie, Mrs. Fudge, Nathan, and Jack.

But where were the others? It was true; Sharkky and Lauryn were missing.

We hurried and got everyone to safety. We started looking around and went down to a lower level. We found Sharkky and Lauryn in weird glass tubes, and they were guarded.

"We have to get them," I said.

"It's too dangerous.." Victor said.

"We just gotta be careful." Dr. Roberto said. "I got an idea."

We went on following Dr. Roberto's lead. We went up on the ceiling, holding on to wooden poles. Victor found an old light bulb, hanging from the ceiling. He made a distraction by making the bulb fall to the ground, shattering. The guards checked it out, going down the hallway.

"Perfect." Dr. Roberto admired.

We grabbed Sharkky and Lauryn from the ceiling and got through the entrance. We started running towards our camp, as all of a sudden a ton of guards just appeared out of nowhere behind us, running after us.

"AAAAHHH!" Victor yelled.

We were running for a long time and Lauryn was falling behind.

"Lauryn!" I yelled.

"HELP!" Lauryn yelled.

The guards all of a sudden were about to grab her right when a black shadow came out of nowhere, swung across and seemed to grab Lauryn's leg. She was pulled down, and then into the dense brush.

"EEK NOO!" Lauryn yelled that chilled my bones.

The guards stopped, as they got scared by the shadow. We were scared about the shadow as well, but we wanted to get away. Eventually, we got far enough away.

"Phew." I said. I just sprawled out on the ground trying to catch my breath.

Dr. Roberto look shattered.

I patted his back. "It's okay, We'll get Lauryn. I promise."

"I don't know.." He looked back a little disappointed. "That black shadow didn't look great."

All of a sudden I knew. I knew what the shadow was. I couldn't tell anyone. No one must know until the end. If that was her.

The feeling that came with what I figured out must've shown on my face because next thing I knew Dr. Roberto was looking at me sadly and questioning. I didn't want to go through a game of 20 Questions and walked off.

"I can't let anyone know about Christina," I said to myself.

Sharkky happened to be in the tree branch above me, and he rustled the branch.

"Who's Christina..?" He asked.

I jumped and looked up at Sharkky. "Um... No one. Of course no one." I said.

"Uh... Yeah.." Sharkky replied. "Now. Who's Christina?" he demanded.

"Some girl... Ruined my childhood. Some other stuff about powers. Blah blah blah." I said.

Sharkky turned a little wide-eyed and gasped. He then jumped out of the tree, gave me one last look and walked away. He was heading toward a spot of ground a little ways away from us.

"What are you doing Sharkky!?" I yelled.

"Oh. Something about powers and stuff," He replied, and kind of grinned.

Dr. Roberto all of a sudden came over there and soon came the rest.

"What's happening?" Victor asked.

"It's time to get Lauryn," Sharkky said. He hit the ground and the ground had a blue aura, and we started to fall. Through the ground.
