We'll See

I stood there, surprised at who I was seeing. I didn't see the same girl I saw earlier. It was my long childhood friend, Melissa. I now looked at her, and everything resembled her. 

"M-Melissa," I exclaimed and embraced her.

I heard Victor walk over, and he patted my shoulder. Melissa and I separated.

"It's been forever," Melissa said.

"Yeah," I said.

Then, Jenny screamed.

We all looked over, and there was a bright light and then I saw Jenny. She was floating above the ground a little bit, and then I noticed the giant shapes emerging from her back. They were completely white until they came to a point. The white faded away and a beautiful array of blues, golds, and a little green showed up. They were wings. Fairy wings.

"What the hell!?" Dr. Roberto yelled.

Then the light seemed to collapse into itself, looking like it got sucked into Jenny's body. Then a slight pause and Jenny fell to the ground. She was panting really hard and seemed in a little pain.

"Jenny!" Henry yelled as he ran to her side.

"I-I'm ok," Jenny said weakly.

"No, you're not!" Henry yelled at her.

"What happened?" She asked.

"It seems you um...," Nathan said.

"You grew fairy wings," I announced.

"What!?" Jenny exclaimed.

After she yelled that, she held her head as she seemed to glow a little bit. 

"Do you feel different?" Dr. Roberto said.

Dr. Roberto asked a bunch of different questions to her and helped her stand up, told her to try flying, and a bunch of other tests.

"This is probably from that Crazy Valley place. Ryan said it could affect anyone." Dr. Roberto concluded.

"Probably." I agreed.

"Is she ok?" Henry asked Dr. Roberto.

"Yeah, perfectly fine. She just has wings now, and she's going to have to get used to them. That's why she's feeling a little weird, it's a new body part, so to say, and it might've given her some fairy powers as well." Dr. Roberto said while taking out a small notebook and writing some things down. 

"I studied fairies in the Inert Forest on Swynia. I didn't get a lot, but I got some knowledge. So I know some stuff about what's happening to Jenny. But yeah.." Dr. Roberto said trailing off into his thoughts.

We were silent as we finally got a chance to look around and see where we were. We were in some kind of a cavern. The ceiling was really high, as lanterns lined the walls. We could see some gems and ores in some areas. We started heading in one direction, following the lanterns.

"So where have you been?" I asked Melissa.

"Oh. I've been traveling and been going to some schools in different countries. Learning languages, culture, history and stuff." She answered.

"Do you know how you got into that Spider's cave?"

"No.. Not completely. I was in a Brazil rainforest, and then I remember hearing a big bang, and some trees falling. Then my vision went white, and I passed out, I don't know what happened, but I woke up in that weird valley. I didn't see anyone, so I called for anyone and looked for any signs of civilization. Then I heard some rocks moving, and that spider came out of the cliff. I started running away, but because I didn't know where I was going, and the spider was huge, she caught me in a web and trapped me in the cell. I've been there ever since." She said, looking down like she remembered something sad.
